BUT. . . not only did I buy eight items (that's one every 3.75 days), but I'm not even one bit remorseful.  Au contraire, I'm gleeful, because I filled some major S/S wardrobe holes and am able to create a couple dozen new outfits with my recent purchases!  Here's the detailed accounting of the month's purchases: Land's End dress (filled summer work dress hole)          Silk tunic shirt (thrifted; filled wardrobe hole) Olivia Moon black tank top (filled wardrobe hole) Forever 21 sleeveless top (garage sale; new with tags) Eci white peplum shirt (filled wardrobe hole) Gap white linen pants (filled huge, long-term hole) Dana Buchman black ankle pants (filled huge, long-term hole) White earrings, hand-made In Ghana (wardrobe hole) For my penance, I will wear and enjoy each item many times! I really like the All Saints one; I think many of us fell to the allure of the All Saints sale (and Zara too). I silently joined Just Say No June but also fell, first at Una's gorgeous Carven dress, and then in some replacement sneakers. And then All Saints... and then I finally found a fluid t-shirt that fit exactly how I wanted! So of course I had to get that. Sadly, I think Zara might do me in for July. The above statement is my final sentence in Mo's thread about Saying No to June. Well, I failed miserably.  And yet - I honestly believe that I did really well. You see, I did a serious assessment of my warm-weather wardrobe and ruthlessly purged until I had many, many wardrobe holes - and fortunately had the means to replace those items with current pieces.  It was very fun and the first time (I think) in my life that I felt as though I had found the correct balance between impulse and planned wardrobe items.  Also let me say this - my dominant season is warm-weather.  In fact, I never put my warm-weather items away, I simply layer them.  So, the items that I bought will be "active" in my wardrobe year-round.  (Yeah!) I added a sweater from Anthro, waxed denim jeans for fall (at a really good price), EF cropped harem pants and a lounge tunic (my favorite lounge wear ever and on sale), Then I swore I was done. Oops, not quite. I went shopping on Saturday and bought 2 VC tube skirts, 3 knit tops (I might return one) and a pair of navy sandals.
