The assisted living facility he's moving to is amazing though. I'm so happy for him - lots of activities and outings, as much privacy or assistance as you require, on site gym, library, convenience store - really quite the little community. There is 24/7 RN support, all meals provided, etc. When I flew out to have a look with him we were just blown away. And the best part is the people there are just so friendly and "real".</p> <p>I'll be honest here Suz and lyn - hubby and I are having a wee look at the finances to see if the navy suit is still a go. When I got home from work today there was an email from my oldest brother. My Dad (who is 87) has just been accepted into the Assisted Living facility that he was hoping for. Unfortunately his senior's income does not cover all of his rent as he does not quality for government subsidy. This means that my brothers and I will each have to chip in $350 per month to help pay his rent starting in January.</p> <p>Bye bye navy suit...bye bye metal-heeled oxfords...until next time...</p> <p>Anna - we can help each other through this! And like I said, it's all good karma. </p>
