I tried on my wedding dress the other day, and it fit everywhere but was a little tight on the rib cage.</p> <p>I don't necessarily mind a higher waist seam, but I just don't know. I guess I prefer a more fitted look further down the torso. I'm long-waisted too, so I know it can be hard to find pieces with waistlines that hit at mine. But I'm thinking perhaps this jacket is purposely cut that way? My waist is actually in the middle of the pockets, a feature I have decided is not a great one on me on any garment. I tried Shiny's suggestion to put a belt over it, and it cinches in right on top of the pockets.</p> <p>I have had this jacket for 2 winters now. It is stretch fabric, and not an investment piece or worth getting tailored. But I am contemplating trying to alter it myself - to remove the pockets, take in the back seam and maybe the darts and me what I can do, It wouldn't be a big deal if I ruin it! </p>
