It's a popular hike! And yes, that whole stretch of highway is beautiful!</p> <p>We also got to spend our evening at a place called Iron Mountain Hot Springs, which was amazing. 16 different pools fed by natural hot springs and cooled to different temperatures, all nestled along the edge of the Colorado River. Now that I have my lovely new display and access to my photos again, I thought I'd share a few photos with you. Here's why I missed the first day of NAS and the hike I sacrificed my iPhone screen to.</p> <p>#1 The little camper cabin where we stayed.<br />#2 My view on pretty much every hike ever...husband and son's backs as they walk ahead of me. :)<br />#3. Hanging Lake. A crystal clear travertine lake set into the cliff wall, 1000 feet above the Colorado River.<br />#4 Spouting Rock. This waterfall, a few hundred feet above the lake, pours out of a hole in the rock wall. For perspective, you can see my son walking off to the far left.<br />#5 Just a little shack along the trail.<br />#6 Random shot out the car window on our drive along I-70. That's the Colorado River below. </p>
