I'm now in the city with my favorite consignment shop and may have to take a look. I promise to be very picky. Oh, and a also needed some replacement cotton tanks that were on sale at Target. I have been avoiding sales. It helps knowing that there will be even better markdowns in July and August. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/june-syc---week-three-check-in#post-1509589 Mon, 22 Jun 2015 15:10:33 +0000 Elizabeth P 1509589@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Well, I fell off the wagon on the shopping part.&nbsp; I just HAD to order another drape front EF dress (I think posted that last week actually) and then this week I was invited to a Stella &amp; Dot party, and I've had my eye on a scarf of theirs for some time, so I went, and bought that.&nbsp; And another one.&nbsp; OK, and a third, that was half price if you spent a certain amount.&nbsp; :).&nbsp; But other than that, I'm doing great... ie my attitude is very much in "no" mode.&nbsp; And I'm really looking forward to getting summer weather (what's with this year, anyway??) so I can wear some of my new summer pieces.&nbsp; I know I'm not going to be bored, it's much more about breaking the online browsing and shopping habit.&nbsp; </p> <p>I've also been doing great at the "actually wear my new nice clothes" - will post a WIW about that soon.</p> <p>And have also been doing great in the "don't go out of the house in something I wouldn't go out of the house in" goal.&nbsp; Only once did I venture to get groceries in Lulu track pants and a hoodie.&nbsp; I've been a very presentable soccer mom this month :)</p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/june-syc---week-three-check-in#post-1509586 Mon, 22 Jun 2015 15:00:44 +0000 Dee 1509586@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>We are 75% of the way through June, so it's time for another check-in!</p> <p>The way I handle SYC is to not go in to clothing stores, period. I've never been a browser or window-shopper. If I see something I like, I am usually happy to buy it, so why even risk it on SYC? But I had to pop into TJMaxx over the weekend to return some household items, so I had my fingers crossed. I actually walked out with a pack of peds/sockettes, because I'd bought the same brand there a few months ago and they were the only brand I've ever tried that have stayed on my feet. So when I saw them back in stock, I jumped on a second pack. But, no other purchases despite the temptation, so a pretty good week here.</p> <p>I've been re-wearing my limited number of summer items like crazy the last month and it isn't actually too bad! I've got enough to get me through the heat and I am happy enough with my wardrobe that I'm not bored. Not sure I would have realized that if I hadn't done SYC.</p> <p>So, how about everyone else? Are you still participating, on track, or counting down the days? </p>
