Anyways - this new post.  There is something really interesting going on here at least to my eyes.  You look completely different in pics 1 and 2. So much so that I had to keep toggling back and forth to figure out what was going on.  The black/cobalt combo makes you look tall and sleek - full stop.  I also really love 4, 7 and 9.  I think the boxier top in some of the other outfits is throwing me off - and I know this post wasn't a "what's wrong here" kind of thing.  But, the t in number one is indeed a cool print, but it's not that outstanding on you, which is why you might not be reaching for it often enough. And I think we are ALL guilty of this.  Tops often don't look all that different one to another in a store, and at first glance, but how many do we each have in our closets that are perfectly OK, but not really great?  Anyways. I am rambling. It's super hot here today and I am also sick, which is making me delirious. I shouldn't even be on the forum today. I wear black and navy together quite often. Just keep the top simple white, or a blend of black, blue, and white or cream (or maybe greys/ silver) and include some navy/and or black elsewhere in the outfit, e.g. earrings, footwear, bag, scarf...you get the idea. It's totally do-able. Jules, the shoes in 9,10 are the Sam Edelman Trina's.  Last years YLF rage :) Smittie, Joy, Suz - the vest is actually navy, which is why I struggle a bit.  If it were black I'd have tons to wear it with (a la Deborah).  I do think it will look nice with the skirt in 9/10 though.  Guess I just have to make sure I get some more navy bottoms!  (great.... more stuff to buy....).  I could also wear it with jeans, and cobalt bottoms (esp with a scarf to tie the colours together).  I think. Have you tried the tops over a shorter skirt/pencil if you wear them? I like the long over short juxtapostion. I can't really pick a favorite :-) The blue and black shirt does look great, and I too don't understand why you don't reach for it. One possibility might be that it is too in-between (as in, not interesting enough to be a statement and not plain enough to be a basic?). I notice that your other shirts (in this round up) seem to be either very bold pattern or a solid. Or maybe it is because the colour blocking is very symmetrical, whereas you might prefer assymetry for a more arty look? Your summer style is through the roof!! I need my fuchsia crash helmet!!  I hope it's okay to say that I find it even more evolved and fabulous than your winter style. I think with your lighter hair, the lighter and brighter colours and the contrast just give you so much sizzle, and you look amazing in every one of these! It is hard in our climate to bring "light" to winter and you do look fantastic in black and ink, of course -- but honestly, there is something about the addition of white and the rich brights that makes your beauty truly shine.  LOVE your new spring tee in 1 -- great choice.  #2 looks fantastic on you. I have no idea why you are not wearing that top. What is the fabric? Is that the problem? Or do you sometimes need a topper and find the detailing conflicts? Or are you feeling self-conscious about your shoulders in it? (No need to -- it looks fantastic, but I know how sometimes we focus on our own supposed "trouble spots" and see them exaggerated and if there is any detailing in that area it draws our own eye to it in a way.)  Love your new Zara tee with the pleather. My June challenge: 1. Stop shopping. 2.  Wear my frigging new clothes 3.  Don't go out of the house wearing clothes I wouldn't go out of the house in. How did I do on week 3?  Well.... 2 for 3.... :) 1. I went shopping.  Ran into a mother at a school thing, who was wearing a PERFECT tank top.  Tanks have been on my list for this year... ones that I don't care about, can wear at the cottage sort of tanks.  I have a few veery very old ones that fit well so I've been loathe to purge them, despite the fact they are faded beyond redemption.  So you know where this is going... she got hers at Winner (our version of TJMaxx) so off I went.  Came home with four, of various colours etc.  Also went to a Stella and Dot jewellery party, and they have a scarf I've been eyeing for ages... and found another one in a colour combo I've been looking for.... So, I sort of filled a couple of HEWI wardrobe holes, but the holes floweth over :) 2.  Great, as you'll see. 3.  Great.  Wore Lulu track pants for one errand, but that's it.  This was a better week for illustrating this - the first two weeks I either didn't get photos, or didn't go out much! 1.  To go visit my DD at camp.  New this spring tee. 2.  Help me here ladies.  I like this top.  It fits me beautifully.  It's a great colour.  Why do I never reach for it??????  I've had it for two years now and probably only worn it 3-4times.  I liked the fit so much I also got it in white and black, and have only worn that once.  Strange. 3.  To the jewellery party.  New Zara linen tee, and new in early spring pleather shorts.  New Birks. 4.  The Madewell tee again.  5.  New navy and striped tee (Zara) and new long vest from the Nordies sale.  I have to confess I'm struggling a bit with styling this, so any suggestions are welcome!  I know a few of you have it as well.  Worn on Saturday to my DD's karate grading. 6.  Nothing new here, just seldom worn pieces.   For Father's Day supper. 7.  The other EF linen sweater.  8.  New(ish) tunic sweater from BR.  I have worn this several times, but it was a spring purchase.  9/10.  New Jones New York assymetrical skirt, and tank from my April Nordies visit.  There you go!  Another extravagant post :) Any comments or suggestions welcome as always!
