I see the Angus scene as browns and lilac shades - maybe it is that I know the landscape here and it is dry grass with dusky shadows - see the pic below showing the landscape around this area. I am looking in my closet and I don’t see anything orange at all! I have one or two pinky peach items, which if you squint and dim the lights could work. Based on colors, I can come up with outfits for Cass, and The Balcony. The bowl of oranges makes me think of my late MIL. She died in July two years ago. She gave me some ceramic bowls, one very similar to the blue bowl in the painting. I keep mine filled with lemons and its green partner is currently filled with limes, but often has oranges, clementines, or nectarines. I may do an outfit in her honor, but it would have nothing to relate it to the painting other than my memories. Please post your own thread for the challenge - but keep it to one thread per person per week.  You can use finds if you prefer not to post pictures. Week 1:  Art Challenge.  Week starting July 1st. Below are four artworks that I like and I have identified with at various stages of my life.  In fact I own a print of the Whiteley one. They are all Oceania based - NZ, Australia and Polynesia. Choose an artwork, and create an outfit based around the painting.  It might be based on the colours, or the ideas, or the emotions.  Keep in mind my art knowledge is not at a high level!!  If you want to create two or three outfits around the same artwork or an outfit for each artwork - that is fine.
