YouLookFab Forum » Topic: Juke - Dianthus? https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus Style Advice for Fashion Lovers en-US Sun, 26 Apr 2026 13:29:37 +0000 http://bbpress.org/?v=1.0.2 <![CDATA[Search]]> q https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/search.php Mo on "Juke - Dianthus?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus#post-1293549 Thu, 03 Jul 2014 00:21:49 +0000 Mo 1293549@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Well, BF is going to see about getting a Juke demo for the day on Friday (he works for a car dealership group), and we can drive it down to the big city to the nearest Subaru store for another test drive.  That way, we will have both cars we're deciding between right there at the same time, side by side.  Much easier to compare road noise, visibility, seat comfort, acceleration, etc, etc, if you get right out of one car into the other.  Genius, I tell you!    The manager at Nissan even found a black bordeaux with silver interior in NC for us.  Not common.  Even Nissan's own website doesn't list the color.  Weird. BF used to work with him at that store last year.  This year he's at a domestic line store instead with a whole new crew.  Since we are off topic, I will say his job is getting bad again and so that makes us think it's high time to decide on a car.  Waiting until the last minute when we are running out the door is too stressful.  Ideally, we would stay through Nov. but realistically it looks like a couple more months at best.  Can't say I'm broken up at the thought of going home early!   Aida on "Juke - Dianthus?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus#post-1292698 Tue, 01 Jul 2014 22:51:01 +0000 Aida 1292698@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ A girlfriend of mine bought a Juke recently, after looking for something else entirely, and said it's fabulously fun to drive (she's a sports car gal). I don't have any experience driving it but I think it has such a cool shape. I can say that I manage our fleet of company vehicles and all of them are Nissans- Altimas and Rogues- and our experience with them has been terrific.   Mo on "Juke - Dianthus?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus#post-1291018 Mon, 30 Jun 2014 00:03:35 +0000 Mo 1291018@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Thanks!  We are looking at '14 AWD's that all have automatic (I'm used to manual so it's an adjustment).  The FWD shift really well compared to many other models we've tested out.  Lots of pep.  You're right - it is a natural fit right off the bat.  I noticed that with the Juke my BF had as a demo last month.  (he used to work for Nissan and we have a Frontier truck by them) cheryle (Dianthus) on "Juke - Dianthus?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus#post-1290898 Sun, 29 Jun 2014 20:08:14 +0000 cheryle (Dianthus) 1290898@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi Mo.  I have the model with FWD and the 6 speed manual transmission.  I haven't had any issues with power at all.  I do find that if I have it in sport mode and hit larger puddles, it can be a bit skittish but other than that, it is a blast to drive.  I am in MB and we probably get as much or more snow as you do in CO.  I didn't get the snow tires because mine is a lease and although I almost got stuck once or twice, it was after a very heavy snow and before the plows cleared.  I drove in a blizzard last year and my little Juke made it through. It is probably the most fun car I have ever owned.  Both Tony and I felt it was also the easiest to get used to driving.  We both got in and drove without feeling the need to get used to it at all.  I drive his Matrix once in a while and always feel a touch uncomfortable the whole time.   Other than routine maintenance, I haven't been to the shop once and I have had mine for over 2 years.  this is my second Nissan and they make good vehicles that are reliable. Mo on "Juke - Dianthus?" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/juke---dianthus#post-1290859 Sun, 29 Jun 2014 19:09:15 +0000 Mo 1290859@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I can't remember but I think you said you were a Juke owner.  If so, I'd love to hear how it deals with Canadian winter and specifically getting up slippery inclines with its automatic transmission.  We have a very steep drive in Tahoe that my Suzuki Sidekick can't climb (though our old '96 Subaru did).  We have been test driving several cars and the Juke has more pep than the Subaru Impreza did.  Also, any repair woes or are you quite happy with your car?  Thanks a bunch!!   Mo
