Her TV outfits were a product of her time, of course, but it was nice to see her use of colour in her suits &amp; festive accents like sequinned earrings - think it was your sparkly purple that reminded me of her!</p> <p>I understand - I'm often the same way in that I'll start looking for replacement pieces *before* the original wears out, just so I don't have to go without. I definitely get not liking zips &amp; buttons digging into your midsection - I abandoned most jeans a while ago for this reason. Maybe more people will finally join me on the jeggings &amp; 'denim trousers' dark side, due to seeking comfort during WFH/ COVID-19. </p> <p>Oh of course, it's always safest to be cautious still. Angie the jeans feel a bit uncomfortable over the tummy area, they are the correct size but I have to stretch them up and I don’t like the feel of the zip and button. They’re not horribly uncomfortable but elastic waist pants I can’t feel at all so those are the best for the future.<br /> And Bijou, I also love it when we are past the winter solstice, it gives me a boost. I resigned from my extra 2-mornings-a-week health organisation job after 5.5 years as I couldn’t cope with it as well as my family practice. I was getting stale too and thought I would just look at the future of my own place rather than our whole profession. So 2 weekdays at home now and 3 long days at work.<br /> Today is a day off, I tried for the Joyful Jeans challenge as I was going to go shopping for new silvery or grey pants, but then I felt worse and decided not to go. It would be a one-in-one-out with my pewter pants which have had 79 wears. But I was looking down my lists and thought I still had so much that doesn’t get worn enough that I would put the expedition off and work on a job description for our new nurse instead! It’s also a cold windy winter day with rain expected. I may still look at the weekend. I found a too-small size of possible new pants at one branch of my favourite boutique and they have the next 2 sizes up at a different nearby branch. That’s where I would go.<br /> These are my Not Your Daughter’s Jeans from 2015, my least comfortable pair of jeans.<br /> Pics 1/2: Purple floral top 2010, 24 wears, NYDJ jeans 2015 15 wears, Skin black loafers 2020 from Styletread 26 wears, purple bead/silver dragonflies earrings made by SIL Jo. Natio Australia “Sienna” lipstick.<br /> Pic 3 jeans fabric sort of silvery snakeskin<br /> Pic 4 floral top fabric purple and silver<br /> Pic 5 the label of the too-small pants, shows a bit of the fabric. I may get them yet.<br /> So... dressed up for shopping but stayed home after all.<br /> The joyful parts are the silver, the matching earrings, and the new birthday loafers from March which I love.
