Robin, you're welcome! To be fair, one pair of their shoes I got was actually pretty decent material wise. But I got them discounted. I still wouldn't pay $99+ for them.

Citygirldc, I actually concur with you and do the same with non leather sandals. Though, last year I purchased a pair of leather Sofft sandals and I have just loved them. They were really worth it. Now, having said that, I had a pair of non leather booties from Walmart. They were $1 clearance and I cannot get over how well they wore inside and out!!! Super comfortable too. I got 2-3 seasons out them. I only tossed them because of some environmental contamination issues. (Long story for another time.)

Lisa, you're welcome! You may try them and feel differently. The quality was still pretty good. I just have a hard time spending that much money on non leather shoes .

Ophelia, I loved the look of the heeled boots too. However, once I tried them on, I kind of felt like I was doing Victorian cosplay. They just felt a little costumey on me. (Could just be my sense of style and such.) And they definitely are a higher heel! I found them more difficult to wear when I tried them. My days of 3.5" heel are likely over ha! Size -- yes noticed this too. The little peep toe wedges were a good size too long/large, so I would definitely size down next time. Overall, I think the quality is good. I just don't know if I feel like paying quite so much for non leather. I may try them again as I find them on sale/discount.

I love the look of those boots & had them in my Amazon cart forever. What finally deterred me was the height of the heel. Those are harder for me to wear now for some reason.
I’ve ordered Journee online before & found they ran a half to whole size large. It’s great that they offer so many wide sizes which I also need. I don’t wear leather & they have a large variety of styles in synthetic materials.
Some stores carry them & run better sales than what I’ve seen on Amazon.

I'm try to stay away from non-leather closed-toe shoes, but sandals a are a different story because I know I'll only wear them for one or 2 seasons.

I can't justify buying high end non-leather shoes, but that's just me.

Yeah, that sounds like a high price for non-leather. These have not been on my radar. Thanks for the info.

Their styles are great, Angie!! So many cute ones to try. I was so disappointed that nothing worked. That said, I'm open to trying other styles in the future if the materials don't look and feel cheap.

Non leather doesn't seem to be an issue for me. I'm sure buying all leather all the time is more of a budget commitment. But at least your shoes will really, really last! :D

I can be attracted to Journee footwear too, Ket. Their styles are great!

Personally, I can't wear non-leather footwear. Not even canvas. It messes up my feet. So I've never tried the brand.

Thanks for the info, though!

I recently tried Journee brand shoes. I found 3 pairs for a good price. The endorsements seemed high.

Pros:
- a lot of styles are offered in wide widths. (By this, I mean, the actual sole of the shoe is wider, not the calf.)
- a huge style variety in general, from flats, to heels, to booties, to sneakers, to thigh-high boots
- easy-care synthetic materials
- great, sturdy construction quality

Cons
- expensive for non-leather shoes; many of their shoes are going for $80-100+ for non leather synthetics.
- some of the synthetics felt rather cheap to me, especially the knee-high boots I tried
- a lot of styles seem to sell out quickly

Advice: Buy on sale. I didn't pay full price (thank you, Amazon), and after my experience I wouldn't pay full price in the future. The construction quality is really good, but the materials felt a bit cheap, even for non leather. My $1 clearance booties from Walmart were far nicer feeling and looking compared to these--sorry to say.

As for the specific styles I tried.
The stacked heel booties are good and the best of the lot; however, I realize now I no longer love higher heels, and these are 3-3.5" heels. The color though! It's outside my normal choices, but the warm blue is beautiful.

The wedge heels are super cute but I need to size down. Not sure if I like the style enough for myself to bother. I thought I loved little 20s/30s style heels. But idk, they suddenly felt like a style I've outgrown. It was more a reminiscing than excitement in the end.

The knee-high boots are a great disappointment. The synthetic leather used just felt cheap, sorry to say. I was most excited about them. Bummer they didn't live up to expectations.

They're all going back to Amazon.

Anyone else try them?
