I worked in a store that carried the line and I bought from every group that came in, if the color palette suited me. Jacket, skirt, pants, shell or knit, every piece. Then I started on Garfield Marks and Ellen Tracy. ( before the first went out and the second went to Kohls!) then it was on to Lauren Ralph Lauren, still a line I like. I also like Brooks Brothers, I guess I was stifling my preppy side for a while! Through all of this, I've been a Talbots customer, but up and down, depending on what they were offering. I haven't bought a lot from them recently because they had mostly been sold at Macy's, and my local Macy's just aren't that nice. They had trousers that fit me, then pleats went "out" and their flat-fronts didn't fit. Then I also realized that I was buying size 4 jackets and they seemed to "grow" and I really needed a smaller size or fit. <br />What I had liked was that they sometimes had nice drapey fabrics and interesting tweeds or pindots for useful neutrals with a bit of flair, blazers, things that could be worn together or unmatched. Also silk blouses in the past; now more polyester.
