Thanks for the review, Abie! I'll definitely try these. I bought a "pettipant" half slip this year --- basically a culotte shaped halfslip from Vanity fair. It's not glamourous, but it keeps me from feely sweaty underneath a skirt in hot temps and provide a little more "coverage," too.

Wow - what a great tip! I cannot do shapewear even at the best of times, let alone 100+ degree temperatures. It's been insanely hot...just nuts.

These sound like a fab find for pairing with dresses and skirts in the hottest of summer months. Thanks!

So, I've mentioned how it gets hot here. I don't like constricting shapewear when it's hot but I also don't like going completely bare legged. I don't get much of a problem with rubbing, but maybe TMI. my legs can get sweaty, especially in lined skirts which are often lined with poly.

So far the best solution I have found is lightweight cotton bike shorts. The problem I have with them is the waistband. They almost always have a thick elastic band, which shows if the dress/top/skirt isn't thick enough to cover where the waistband is.

I saw these jockey skimmies and decided to give them a try. They are nylon/spandex but are thin and breathable. They do not try to suck you in like shapewear does. They don't ride up and the waistband is seamless. I have tested them in 100+ temps now and they didn't feel hot at all. They seem to wick any moisture so my legs don't feel clammy. LOVE them!!

I got them on jockey.com and had a 20% coupon. They are $20 a piece without a coupon and they offer free shipping with $75 normally but when I ordered you didnt have to spend 75 so if you are interested I'd watch for better coupons. They have S-XXL.

I still aim to try thigh society shorts which are more expensive but made of bamboo! http://thighsociety.myshopify......-underwear I will likely pick up one pair this season, but for now I'm ecstatic over these jockey ones.

I haven't seen other good options out there for this, but if you know of any, feel free to suggest.
