Since I have a medium sized wardrobe, definitely not small, this didn’t seem like much of a challenge. Still, I was in a bit of a funk and took the occasion to wear <i>new</i> combinations for the following categories:<br /> Working from home<br /> Out with friends / dinner date<br /> Running errands / to the playground</p> <p>This was an interesting experiment for me to try and find creative outfits from my existing closet that aren’t workwear (one of my style goals this year is to upgrade my casual style).</p> <p>Working from home in winter requires a warm outfit! Even though I have the central heating on, sitting at my desk all day always gets me COLD! So fleece turtleneck with thick cardi on top.</p> <p>That same day I kept the jeggings on and put a dress on top for a casual evening out with friends. I’ve been inspired by instagrammer KajaMarie to do more inspired layering, so here’s my attempt. Sorry for horrible picture quality.</p> <p>Another way to wear a dress over skinnies for running errands or visiting the playground. I’ve grown tired of this sweater dress but wearing it belted over jeans does feel fresh. I may need a nicer belt.</p> <p>After my january splurge on a new winter coat (that has already proven its worth!), I only spent a little in february. Bought some cheap scarves to improve my color mixing opportunities. I’m really liking tonal dressing now, especially with shades of green!</p> <p>Probably accellerated by the already mentioned KajaMarie I’m also finding myself unusually drawn to scandi-chic. See the geometric sweater I got. For spring I’d like to add a pale green knit and a cream corduroy jacket, but I’m being patient and picky ;).</p> <p>Out of the syc challenge and the new additions I’m starting to see the contours of my improved casual style. A great feeling.</p> <p>Any comments or suggestions welcome! </p>
