The back pockets on my pair are real, front pockets faux; fabric is fairly stretchy and somewhat thin, but still a substantial weave so I am comfortable in treating them as pants. I think that first pair you linked looks like a very skinny cord but the amount of stretch will probably determine whether they end up looking like pants vs. leggings.
