I wear the denim jeggings from Hue. I'm very wide at the top of my body (shoulders, back, waist) and then get more narrow through thighs calves and ankles.

I've bought multiple pairs in multiple washes and they hold up really well.

I wear American Eagle jeggings too, and to solve this issue I dried them on warm heat, the slight shrink made them fit perfectly.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I definitely have to do some more shopping around when I have the means. I have thought about switching my search to thick pairs of leggings for that tight fit, but I like the look and feel of jeans.

i'm wondering if instead of jeggings you need leggings that look like jeans...a knit instead of a woven...

You inspired me out of my sick bed to try on some jeans For clarity, I have two pairs of the Gap mid-rise sculpt skinnies in burgundy and olive, not traditional blue. Upon inspection, there is some extra fabric around the knees, more so for the pair I already wore once since washing. But the fit in the shin and calf is very snug. They are ankle length, but not skin tight at the bottom hem, which I actually prefer to balance out my figure just a touch and keep them on the pants side of jeggings. But I generally wear these under boots anyway, and they do work under riding boots without looking like I stuffed in straight pants.
My other favourites are the Mavi Alexa and I think the fit in the knee is slightly better. But I have to say if you can get the Gap sculpt jeans at 40%, the denim quality is like a mid-range brand similar to Mavi at a great price. Mine are in constant rotation this winter and I got them for $50 CA.
Looking at these photos which I will leave up briefly, they may be more pants-like than you want? This is my preference so I may be biased And I do see the bagging around the knee, but it doesn’t bother me IRL. I might just be used to it. I think my legs are also proportionately longer above the knees so I always wonder if my knees are in the right place of the pant

The mother of all jeggings. I sized up for a little looser fit. I don't wear jeggings and I adore these, especially the black! You can sleep and do yoga in these and very flattering.

If you're on a quest and don't mind the extra effort, you can have the knees of jeans tailored.

If you shop on the Nordstrom site, a lot of times they will give the measurement for the ankle opening. You can measure your ankles and see what would be a skin-tight fit for you. If you can find something with a very narrow ankle circumference, chances are the fit through the knees will be slim also.

I have had good luck with Loft and Ann Taylor for skinny ankles and calves.

@Jules Those sound good, I'll have to try those. They aren't too loose at your knees? Most of the jeggings I wind up with look like straight leg skinnys at best, what with how loose they are below my thighs.

The Gap’s sculpt jeans are the most ‘calf-sucking’ skinnies I’ve owned. I’m a size 12/32 and have larger hips and upper thighs that taper/slope/angle in a lot to the knee. With free returns might be worth a try anyway?

I'm currently on a quest to find the perfect pair of jeans, which I've never had, no matter what size I've been. I'm currently a size 10 womans/11 juniors with somewhat thick thighs, but skinny little knees and calves, and I can't for the life of me find a pair of jeggings that are tight enough. I always have baggy knees, and I'm not talking about stretching after I've worn them. I mean right off the bat, brand new jeans, as if they are too big. But if I go down in size, they won't fit my waist. I just dropped major money on a pair of Dream stretch jeans from American Eagle, which fit great everywhere but the knees. Any advice? Brand suggestions? Should I just wear leggings to get that skin tight look and call it a day??
