The first is solid black denim trousers (no front pockets), and they look dressier. The second is faded denim with regular jeans styling. But I agree that I might not need two things with similar silhouettes.</p> <p>Today I wore my existing solid black flared jeans and remembered that it's hard for me to build outfits around them. Somehow the solid black doesn't go with my usual loose black tees -- too much of a black hole effect for my taste. (This is fine with skinnies because there's less volume, I think.) I either need fitted black tops, or more grey and white. The Gap jeans (#3-4), with faded denim, will be more versatile. But the Uniqlo jeans are just cooler all around. I guess I'll try to make a few more outfits and see. They'd be perfect with a cotton bodysuit.</p> <p>Also, I really want cropped jeans of some sort and it's been a struggle to find the right ones. So I'm tempted to keep the Gap jeans also, but crop them.</p> <p>I wore the skirt last night! Omg, I found these Coach haircalf high-shaft boots at Crossroads and they are perfect. I didn't know this was a wardrobe hole until I found them. I'm trying to be better about impulse buys but I couldn't pass this up. </p>
