Just wanted to mention a good online source of both short and long length denim (and extended sizing) in Canada - American Eagle! They are obviously youth-oriented so not a lot of classic darker washes but there are some if you poke around! They have long (34”) and extra long (36”). I have been ordering short lengths for my kid who is a size 12 and while they don’t have every style in every size/length combo, they have more than I’ve seen anywhere else by far. She’s quite into flares (a 12 year old ahead of the curve) and I’m impressed how well the short length cut is adjusted to fit both in the rise and where the flare starts. They don’t generally have the same variety in store from what I’ve seen but it’s fair given how many sizes and styles they carry.

I love Mavi skinny jeans but can’t speak to length on wider cuts. As for the non Canadian sites, my personal hesitation with international ordering to Canada usually comes down the returns process rather than the shipping fees so just something to be aware of. As for shopping, I haven’t been to Over the Rainbow in so many years! It’s a classic. You might also try calling Body Blue (https://bodyblue.ca/). They are local to me and often recommended for people looking to a get a great pair of jeans. But I’m not sure what they carry for longer lengths.

Over The Rainbow in the Manulife Centre at 55 Bloor Street W, Suite 123 in Toronto has every brand of denim you can imagine. The Levis store is also an excellent place to go if you like Levis, and I find the selection there to be better than at Marks.

Most of the premium denim brands do very long bootcut jeans, I have seen their inseams in the 34-36". Examples: Frame, Mother, AG, Paige, 7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, etc. Unfortunately they tend to be pricey. They are available at big department stores and/or boutiques.

Fellow 34” inseamer reporting! The 7 For All Mankind Dojo bootcut jeans are so long, I actually had to have them hemmed, which is a rarity! Also try AG Angel bootcuts — AG seems to consistently cut with enough length for me (and even their mens jeans for my husband who is 6’6”!). I’ve had success with Lucky Brand in the past but I feel like their fabric is too stretchy now and doesn’t snap back into shape.

I have a denim jacket from this brand that i really like, but have never worn their jeans.

Congrats on the weight loss. I can't advise you on jeans (I wear a 34” inseam, but wear sustainably-made versions of fashion brands), but winter doesn’t have to mean no dresses. A sweater dress with fleece-lined tights and stompy boots is cozy. (Of course, you’ll want silk or merino ls undershirt and a cardi or other topper, just like with pants). A pleated wool midi skirt with snuggly tights and the same everything else you’d wear with jeans is great too. Just a couple options, because winter gets long.

Do you have access to the NYDJ website? They have talls in the bootcut (Barbara) and straight-leg (Marilyn) styles.

They are stretchy with a higher waist. I prefer the ones with higher cotton content and no viscose.

Are you willing to order (UK company with free international delivery over CAD$130)? If so, I believe Seasalt Cornwall has a decent selection of fairly classic dark wash 'jeans' (essentially heavy cotton denim straight leg trousers with pockets & a hint of stretch). Most of their jeans options are ~ $150 CAD.

In your case, I think your best bet would be their tall version of either the Lamledra trousers in a 'dark indigo wash' (description states it sits below the waist): https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.....tton-jeans
... Or the Hawks Tor jeans in 'dark denim indigo':
https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.....tton-jeans
... Or the Water dance trousers in the 'dark indigo rinse' (despite the description stating 'sits on the natural waist', the model is 5ft11 but you can see that it's more of a mid rise on her): https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.....ance-jeans

... I have the Hallworthy jeans, which are also great, but they're high waisted on 5ft3 me. See past forum photos of me trying on their Waterdance, Hallworthy & Lamledra trousers for reference (I may be 5ft3 pear but their tall inseams are 87cm/ 34.25", so you're covered!)

More of their denim options:
https://www.seasaltcornwall.com/depths-of-denim

All of their tall sized options:
https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.....l-clothing

You can get 34 inch inseams in Levi’s. Check Marks Work Warehouse. They often have BOGO offers on jeans, so two pair wouldn’t set you back terribly.

I lost weight! Yay! But now none of my bottoms fit and everything feels like it is falling down. So annoying! Summer was MUCH better because I just wear dresses!

I need one pair of jeans. That's it. ONE. I want a dark wash because I think it is most versatile and fits best in my wardrobe. I also would like a boot cut or straight fit and no rips. So a classic fit that has a bit of stretch that bounces back (that's another problem right? stretch that needs to be washed after every wear!)

Any ideas on where to begin? Since it's my only pair, I don't mind paying a little more. I just want to feel and look good.

I need a 34" pant length.
I'm a little longer in the torso.
I don't necessarily want super high waisted.
I live in Canada (I can drive to Toronto and am willing to do so!)

You ladies always come through for me and I'm so grateful!
