See how unflattering this particular cut/pocket placement/fabric/color is?"And then you look and look and fail to see what would be so extremely wrong that it should be obvious. I think they often have a point of reference for the ideal rear-end fit that is very specific and that completely eludes me.<br />I think it's always a good idea to check the back view when you try a pair on, and if you don't like what you see, then pass on the item. I would just check the rear view in the mirror and go with what looks good. </p> <p>In general, when I'm checking for rear-end flattery, it's pretty obvious when something doesn't work. I tried a pair of jeans on several months ago that looked great from the front, but when viewed from the back, my rear end looked horrible because the pockets were extremely low.
