Welcome! I'm an over 65 who has found lots of help and inspiration here. I found that high rise jeans like NYDJs are ok but I've yet to feel fab in a pair. I like Kut from the Kloth Diana's sized up a size and Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, and Paige, also sized up just a bit. The premium denim feels wonderful. You can often find premium denim discounted at Nordstrom Rack.

Hi rocs, welcome from another over-60 who still wants to dress in a current and fun way! I don't have any specific jeans recommendations (not sure any of mine qualify as sexy, per se!), but I think you'll find lots of good ideas here.

I'm in my mid 50s and am wearing my new Kut from the Kloth boyfriend jeans right now! Everyone here, especially Angie, was very helpful in dragging me into a more current style. They have all been very kind to me, even though I am somewhat style impaired.

I wanted to try the jeans on, but ended up having several sizes sent from Nordstrom because the nearest store is two hours away.

Welcome! You have a terrific attitude, and I know from my own experience that it makes a tremendous difference in how you look and feel. I'm 70, and this forum is very welcoming to women of all ages.

Finding the right jeans is so important. I just lost a few pounds and am on a search for new jeans myself.

Welcome! I'm not quite 50 but I hear you about feeling younger. It's great that there are so many YLF forum members of all ages with great style.

I'm also a fan of premium denim -- among my faves are AG and Paige -- but I just bought a pair of Gap bootcuts that I'm really enjoying as well, so I'd say great jeans exist all across the retail spectrum. I agree that body type plays way more of a role in my jean selection than some arbitrary notion of "age appropriateness." As we've discussed here before, I think more in terms of "situation appropriateness." I own distressed boyfriend jeans with holes in the knees, as well as streamlined dark-wash dressier bootcuts.

I think so much depends on what style you want in jeans, and what particular fit and flattery needs you have. Looking forward to seeing what you find.

I am also a fan of premium denim. I find the fit and wash to be superior to other denim. I don't think age is really a factor (I am 58 years old) but body type. If premium denim seems too pricey then some people have had luck with GAP jeans. They have lots of styles, etc.

I wear Fidelity relaxed skinnies (that may be a brand only available in Canada), Citizens of Humanity straight legged, and Citizens of Humanity boot cut. My Boyfriend jeans are Silver Sams (no longer available).

Angie gives lots of recommendations for jeans. I find her suggestions very helpful.

Welcome! I am a big fan of premium denim for superior fit. I like Rag & Bone for their higher rises. I'm not sure where you are located, but Nordstrom has a great selection of denim and their staff will fit you into the right jeans. Nordstrom also carries Kut from the Cloth, which is priced lower than premium, US made jeans, but of good quality and fit. NYDJ is another brand I've heard good things about and it's not as pricey as some premium lines.

I stumbled upon this site when I googled 'sexy jeans for my fit 60's body'. The bomber jacket ensemble got my attention, particularly the Jeffrey Campbell Everwell boots! I love shoes! But reading other members comments about dressing 'age' appropriately prompted me to become a member. As a boomer the classic look served me well as a professional. However, now retired with a part-time job in a more casual environment I've embraced a fun "dress for me" style. I agree with the other women who say a quality haircut, makeup, and taking care of yourself is very helpful as we accept the aging journey. But what I find most invigorating is ATTITUDE. I can't change my birth year but I can adjust my attitude and enjoy the options I have to express ME - the person I am right now! I want joy everyday in my life so I choose to wear what makes me feel good. A combo of classic/contemporary works for me. Now, because I've taken care of myself over the years and dress the way I do, people often think I am 10-15 years younger than my age! I didn't find the answer to which "sexy' jeans to buy for my 5'4", 130lbs., 64 old body but I know I will learn much from youlookfab!
