I love Gap jeans. You have to size down to allow for stretching, but definitely check out the curvy bootcut. They're also really soft - I have a thing about rigid denim.
I also love Joe's in a few cuts, so check them out.
I'm not a huge fan of Kut jeans, but some people have had success with them.

Thanks, everyone. I will check out your recommendations.

Biscuitsmom, I have tried Not Your Daughter's Jeans, and they aren't for me. They are quite girdling around the mid-section, but that's not my "trouble" area and they felt a little frumpy to me.

It looks like I can find most of these brands at Nordstroms, so maybe I'll start there.

I'm a pear and wear: Lucky Brand Sweet n Low, Gap Perfect Boot, Joe's Jeans in Petite Provocateur (and the Honey cut too). All work well for bootcut styles on me.

I have Jag jeans from Nordstroms; I'm a curvy hourglass suze 12 and love them. I don't like how I look in skinny jeans so have stuck to dark wash bootcut... I've been wearing this brand for the last 5 years--they wear well, and look good. Midrise in front with a higher back to avoid...well, you know--overexposure! Just looked online--they are currently 59.50.. Worth trying on if you have a Nordstrom's nearby. And good luck!

DK is fabulous.

Try Gap's Curvy bootcut, COH "Ava" and "Elson" and Joe's "Honey".

I highly recommend David Kahn Lauren fit jeans. Full price is over $100, but try them on at Nordies and then hound ebay for a pair. I can usually find some under $35 there.

Have you tried the new Levis Curve ID jeans? I'm curious about the fit myself. With jeans, you usually have to try on LOTS of different brands and styles. But once you find some that fit, buying multiples is most definitely allowed!

Your criteria for jean shopping is exactly like mine. I can't wait to hear other ideas, because I wasn't happy with the Not Your Daughter's Jeans. Too high waisted or something. I did, however, love the fit of their ponte knit straight legs. I have a pair of Levi straight leg jeans that work pretty well; didn't even have to take in the waist!

I'm in need of a new pair of jeans, and I'd love to find something new. I'm a pear with definite curves, size 12. I'm looking for bootleg or straight leg.

I have and love Kut From the Kloth in several styles already. I've tried the most recent version of Gap jeans in several styles and I don't care for them.

Ideally, I'd like to keep the price below $100, but if they are totally fabulous, I'd pay more. I have access to Nordstrom and lots of specialty stores.

Thank you for any tips!
