<p><div><b>lisa p.</b>, the navy blazer with golden buttons is J.Crew Factory from last year. It is really amazing, so well cut and well made (even though JCF has been one of those unreliable-quality retailers). <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>The black blazer is nothing fancy--Old Navy!... I like it because it's a thick stretchy jersey so more comfortable than the usual blazer; I also wanted a low investment before I figured out how to incorporate blazers a bit better...</div><div><br /></div><div>Now I'm yearning for blazers with patterns! <br /></div>

<p>A round of applause from me . I’m a blazer wearer ( especially at this time of year ) and love what you’ve done in every photo . I agree with what gryffin says - but also think that even the black blazer w cream jeans and the white t is a great look ( more casual , but still great ) . What brand /label is the jacket ?

<p>Thanks for all the suggestions! You all made me think about so many aspects that had never crossed my mind before--how the accessories and colors could make it more cohesive. I do have a few belts but I think I need to increase my repertoire of accessories e.g. necklaces, silk scarves etc. Thank you everyone for the nice words too!

<p>I agree, i like the idea of a belt or bag to go with the shoes to tie it all together, and a necklace, but it all looks harmonious to me! And yes your curls look beautiful:)

<p>I find it a challenge to style a dark topper with light pants, and you've done really well! I do like the idea of a belt to help tie in the boots. The white tee with navy stripes does look a bit off to my eye. I think the cut of that tee isn't happy being tucked-in; maybe a semi-tuck instead? #5 is my favourite as well.

<p>To my eye, the cream pants and white in the top are clashing a bit.<br />I think that's why I prefer the outfits with the navy top.<br />The blazer and jeans are both FAB on you!

<p>KM - you look great in every photo!&nbsp; I am a blazer girl.&nbsp; Although I think the column of white with blazer and contrasting booties looks nice, I do like to repeat and stay within the color or repeat the color somewhere else.&nbsp; Visually I think it ups the game.&nbsp; As above, adding a matching belt would add polish.&nbsp; Same scarf, tortoise necklace or bag.&nbsp; Great booties, very elegant.&nbsp; I like the striped tops and they would look great with a dark belt.&nbsp; Also in the column of white matching a belt to a the metal hardware (on booties/bag etc) in silver or gold could be a softer way of repeating an element.&nbsp; Either way, outfits look fantastic as is, just adding above if you want a bit more formal polish and punch!&nbsp; You look great!

<p>IMHO, you look fantastic. </p>
<p>My first impression was to add a brown belt too, but that could chop up the long body line. Consider adding a brown complement of accessories to make the the boots look intentional. </p>
<p>You might add a nice necklace to the outfits with a plain tee - maybe a long one with charms or a pendant - to help tie colors together.

<p>My favourite is the one you liked best, and I think it looks the most cohesive because 1. The tee is the most body con therefore showing your fantastic figure to best advantage, best seen in pic 4.<br />
2. Fewer tones/colours, ergo more cohesive. The 2 navies belong together.<br />
Disclaimer: I am VERY matchy-matchy. I trawl the Internet for exactly correct shades of shoes, all the time

<p>Well here's my tip: In the first outfit you have three colours, plus whatever colour the pineapple tee shirt is, hard to see on the monitor: Cream, black and brown, plus pineapple top. &nbsp;I would try to include a &nbsp;piece COMBINING at least two of those three colours- to tie it all together. So, if you have brown shoes, cream pants and black blazer...it would be good to wear a brown and cream striped top for example. Or a plain cream top with a scarf with a black and cream polka dot print.&nbsp;<br />I'm no expert obviously, just sharing my thoughts... and I tend toward being a bit matchy.&nbsp;<br />You look great though and no need for any changes anyway unless you feel like it.

<p><b>Joy</b>, I meant to put a tan belt on and forgot in the rush of the morning :D! Love the idea of trying with ballet flats. I have a pointy black-and-white pair (not really ballet, but show some skin) and I'm curious to see what it would look like with the white jeans and black blazer. </p>

<p>You might be happy adding a brown belt to blend with your booties. I like a blazer with white jeans and a striped or graphic tee.. If you want something more feminine, try ballet flats and a pretty blouse.

<p><div>This is inspired by two of <b>Angie</b>'s recent posts: on dressing up white jeans; and on black/white. I don't wear blazers often so this is a new look for me--I'm loving it but still figuring it out.</div><div><br /></div><div>I had some trouble styling the black blazer in Fig. 01. Perhaps I needed a darker shoe? Or a lighter shoe??? You can't see in the photo, but the tee has a delicate golden-foil pineapple print all over. I was on the fence about this look and didn't wear it.</div><div><br /></div><div>So I moved on to a navy blazer (Fig. 02). I first put it on with this striped tee with flower prints (Fig. 03). Can't put my finger on why, but I still wasn't totally happy.</div><div><br /></div><div>I finally tried on my 3/4 sleeve striped navy tee in Fig. 04. It looked more put-together than the others. So I added the navy blazer on top (Fig. 05). I felt very happy all day with this look, but I'm open to feedback in case it needs improvement.</div><div><br /></div><div>I hope to keep wearing more blazer combos, so look forward to thoughts on colors, columns, proportions, etc. <br /></div><div><br /></div>
