Two are identical (well one is older and one is newer). One will probably be tossed before April because they are at risk for a crotch hole. The other one is not ppl, but will be this summer with flats and sandals (it was ppl for my regular shoes, but shrunk dramatically). I love jeans and wear them pretty much everyday. I don't own any other trousers and don't wear skirts or dresses at all during our long winter. In the summer I have two pair of casual shorts and two skirts that I occasionally wear. I have lots of dresses but those usually only get worn a couple of times of year. </p> <p>I have several pair of jeans that don't fit that I have saved (up until recently I had two homes with two wardrobes, so plenty of space to save those jeans that I needed to lose a few pounds for). </p> <p>Shoes are my sob story. Started having foot problems about 3 years ago and slowly lost the ability to wear all my lovely shoes! Right now I am down to my cowboy boots (which are aged), my running shoes, my hiking boots, a pair of brown clogs, a pair of flip flops, and a pair of naturalizer heels. I've recently started having less foot pain and hopefully with some more physical therapy (I've been remiss) I can start wearing other shoes. I also need to to the PT anyway, because some of the foot pain is being transferred to the knees. Phew!</p> <p>I'm not surprised by the shoe comments (I was expecting people to have loads of shoes, since so many women really like them), but I was a little surprised by how many people have relatively few pairs of jeans. Perhaps the women in this forum are good at dressing well in skirts/dresses because you love fashion and style? I'm a little out of my comfort zone in skirts, I admit. Lately I've had this urge to dress in a more feminine way than before, so I'm making myself wear a skirt or dress at least twice a week....but jeans are still my fave. I am very sentimental about my shoes too, and many of them are high quality. I lovingly clean and polish the "good" shoes on a regular basis, because nothing makes me feel more confident than a fabulous pair of shoes, and I want them to last for as long as possible! I actually don't have hundreds of pairs; I'd rather save up and buy one beautiful, expensive pair than pick up a few cheapies that are in line with this season's trend. I'm not a strict follower of fashion when it comes to shoes. I definitely prefer vintage-inspired ones, and many of mine are (in my mind at least!) timeless. I even have a 20-year-old pair of strappy sandals that I wore to my high school prom (!!) and I still wear them. In total, I have about 25 pairs of what I would call "fashion" shoes, two pairs of wellies (which are sort of midway between fashion and gear), plus one pair each of hiking boots, hiking shoes, running shoes, beach flip flops, and snow boots. </p> <p>I mostly asked this question out of idle curiosity. Initially I was thinking about jeans, because there have been a lot of posts lately about jeans and it got me thinking about how many pairs I have (fifteen). I know that seems excessive, but they're all different and I wear all of them. This led me to thinking about how many pairs of shoes I have, which is also quite a lot, and I started wondering what would be considered a reasonable number of pairs by the lovely ladies of this fashion blog. </p> <p>I'm trying to make an effort to shake up my style a bit by wearing more skirts, but of the ten skirts I own, four of them are denim! Clearly denim is my favourite fabric. </p>
