I bought the perfect shirt from J. Crew about a month ago in Chambray in Size Small. I would have preferred an XS but they did not have one and I wanted it. It is less fitted than I wanted but fine. I tend to wear XS or S (not Petite) in J. Crew tops.

I have the everyday shirt in end on end cotton (not petite) in the larger of my two usual JCrew sizes and it is a little close. I haven't tried either of the others you are considering. However, I find the perfect shirts to be cut closer to the body than the everyday shirts. I take the larger of my 2 usual sizes in the perfect shirts and have also gone one size up.

I'm 5'2", 32c, 28 inch waist. I pretty much always wear a size 2, 4P or XS in JCrew shirts. (They size petites smaller, so bust and waist measurements for size 2 equal those of a 4P). That includes 2 linen shirts from a couple of years ago.
I wear the same size in the perfect shirt and the everyday. In my experience the everday is less fitted, but not oversized.
HTH.

Last week I bought the middle shirt (cotton linen) in my usual size M. It fits like most size Ms in that style--no darts, not fitted. I bought an all linen shirt a couple of years ago and I'd say the same about it. I'm positive that if I'd sized down it would be too tight in the shoulders, bust and waist.

I've only bought from J.Crew once, and that was years ago and was a linen shirt that is a little big on me. How do their *Everyday* and *Perfect* shirts run? I am usually a P4/PS but sometimes a P2 if the item runs big. P2s tend to fit me better in the shoulders and sleeve length but will often gape at the bustline and be too tight in the sleeves so I generally buy P4/PS. I rarely fit a PXS if it is a P0-2; it has to be a P2.

I am thinking about the three items below. Maybe the all linen item should be sized down since linen shirts tend to run big?

Thanks for your advice.
