They seem a little overpriced to me for a simple strand with a velvet ribbon. But they are lovely!

Ana, you have some great answers! I think they might be a tad over-priced. I have a 30" strand of fresh water pearls the same diameter and they were about $75, but I know that was a really good deal.

I've been looking at other pearl necklaces and I'm struck with how you really have to see them IRL and try them on. The Ralph Lauren Outlet store near me had a short choker necklace that I fell in love with. They were costume, but I didn't care because they were the right size and length. When I went back to buy them, they just seemed dull and too white. Sadly, I left them behind. I'm sure if you ordered these online, you could return them if they didn't work out for you.

Hmm...I don't have any experience with J. Crew's fine jewelry collection, only their fashion jewelry, which holds up pretty well over time in my experience. I usually wait for it to go on sale, but I think these two necklaces don't ever go on sale. I would suggest buying them when they have a coupon/special promotion going on. They seem to be having a lot of coupon codes happening this month (right now they have one for up to 30% off). Also, you might be able to make something similar for much less money with a regular strand of pearls or faux pearls. Just attach black ribbons to each end.

Sorry, I'm not sure if that was much help.

Hello hello,
Does anybody have any experience with J.Crew freshwater pearl necklaces? They look very pretty online and I love the style of pearls with black ribbon. I'm just wondering if they're too overpriced for what they purport to be. Thanks!
