Wow, thanks again all! I do have to do some shopping this weekend for more pants but I'll be looking for skirts too. Those are quickly getting retired as well, unfortunately.
Joy, thanks for the tip about the belt around a jacket; I've never really been able to *close* my jackets most of the time, so putting a belt around them never occurred to me!

The reason I am going for more pants now is that I tried on the two pairs of 16s that I do have, and the difference in how they looked compared to the 18s was tremendous. Much snugger instead of drapey and wide. I need more of that!

Congratulations on your new figure! I enjoyed your stylish outfits and think you have an eye for texture that gives them something special.
I was sorry I wasted money on alterations of pants I wanted to continue to wear. It just didn't work to go down more than a couple of sizes and kind of ruined them for those I would have gifted with them or for resale.
My favorite outfit is #33, the houndstooth skirt and origami blouse. You have great legs that look gorgeous in those FS boots and the booties and tights.
On #39 or any suit jacket that's getting a bit big, try belting the jacket in order to wear it longer until the arm holes/shoulder area get too big or low and it's time to pass it on.
]I'm looking forward to your next pictures. Don't get discouraged if your weight reaches a plateau and loss slows. It will pick up again.

Congrats on the weight loss -- the burgundy booties are well-deserved! Your outfits are all great and I am glad that you are taking the opportunity to wear your favorite pieces once last time before retiring them. You have a great sense of style and I love all your outfits.

I too feel you ROCK a pencil skirt. You have really nice legs. Love that tweed jacket and the Oxfords. I say purchase new pants instead of altering any. You’re going down 3 sizes. Tremendous!

Thanks, all! I think I will definitely be buying more skirts as I keep losing. :)

Lena, we have two cats, Sophie and George, but that's pretty much George's tree house. He commandeers all the cat toys!

Nicole, the dress code is business casual, but when we go out to work with the users (I'm in IT for a hospital chain), we generally dress in suits or nice jackets. I'm on a big implementation right now so my suits are in higher rotation than usual.

I did look at altering some of the pants, but honestly I'm not going to be in the next size down very long either. So I'm just going to give them to my friends or donate them (one friend has dibs on the 18s, another wants the 16s when I'm out of those, LOL) instead of altering. With the sweaters, I do switch around between buttoning on the top or in the middle, and go with whatever is laying right with the layers and the bottoms. The purple cardi got a little shrunk so the middle button is not an attractive look, if you know what I mean. But soon I'll be able to wear it that way again. I will definitely keep an eye on the bust line of the faux-wraps -- thanks for the tip!

Becky, thanks so much! It's funny, in my office, there is a clear dividing line between the way people dress and their attitude toward work: the ones who dress business casual in polished ways are generally the conscientious go-getters, and the ones who dress like schlubs are happy to punch the clock and go home. In an economy like this, weirdly enough, dressing well for work can really pay off!

Wow Kristen! You Look Fab! (hehe couldn't resist)

You wear suits really well--do you need to wear suits to work?

Can you have the striped pants altered to fit again? Or get a new pair when you reach goal, because they looked really great on you. I really liked the Red Sweater/Origami Blouse/ATF houndstooth skirt outfit--You look very chic and modern. I like the purple cardigan--I'd like to see you button it under the bust. I think having the top buttoned, is drawing the eye to your hip area. Also, the white faux wrap sweater in the last few photos (is it the same in one of the first photos?) Anyway, I think the seam is too high on your bust. (or is the shirt just riding up from the way you're standing?)

Thanks, Shana and Inge! I'm so glad I didn't throw that old Chino's teal shell away; apparently it's quite the hit. There is just something indestructible about it that entices me to keep it even when I don't wear it much.

You do look amazing in skirts (but I like you quite a lot in trousers too). Brighter colours suit you very well (love the blue shell and the purple cardi), but neutrals work very well too (I love that patterned blouse and the cream top).

Kristen, you are shrinking before our eyes! You have so many great outfits in January. You pull off the bf cardi so well. I also really like the teal shell paired with the grey skirt (show those legs off!!) and white shirt - the pop of color is fab. I also really like the ATF 3/4 sleeve jacket outfit - the jacket is a great fit and I love the colors.

Thanks, guys! It's funny that you all mentioned liking the skirts; I love wearing skirts, but I hadn't been able to wear any of them because they looked very misshapen when I was at my heaviest whereas all my pants fit great and were more flattering. But as I moved down the scale and lost inches in my lower half, the situation has reversed; all my pants looked terrible very quickly, but the skirts fit right again. Which is good because it means I still have a lot of choices in my closet to wear during this transformation. I switched in some smaller-size pants now and I'll be curious to see your reactions the next time I post.

On the good news front, I passed my 20-pound milestone today so I get to wear the burgundy FS booties that Kyle wore in her last outfit post. I already owned and loved them in grey, and when she said they came in burgundy, I knew what I wanted as my reward. I've even got a few outfits in mind for them!

I like all of your outfits, but you look especially good in skirts. My three favorite outfits are the cream faux-wrap sweater with brown tweed skirt, AT skirt suit with teal vest ( gorgeous color on you), and that pale lilac cardi with black and white skirt.

I've been losing weight -- 20 pounds this month -- and so I've been taking care to rotate through as much of my closet as possible. I've already retired 7 pairs of pants, and a few more as well as some skirts should be joining the pile by next week.

I recorded 6-7 outfits through January, and to my eyes you can see the difference in how things are already fitting me differently. It's kind of fun to document the transition! Plus, I'm thinking this as a farewell tour for some of my favorites outfits. LOL!
