Brooklyn,  you are right, when I look at the pictures again - the trousers are a bit short in relation to the boots. I will use a bit lower heels. Sterling, very true what you say about outreach and communication. The forum is a wonderful place and it is so fun to do the challenge together. It is also very interesting to learn from each other - that is the best part. I try to follow everybody's posts on their challenge progress. I like no 4 the best. The gloves are such a great addition and I prefer the colour and texture of that scarf. So dramatic! Could you wear slightly lower heels? You have so many great vintage things! The scarves match colorwise. My preference, if I was styling the jacket and pants, would be for less volume, so maybe a fitted blouse in one of the colors of the scarf or shawl, or from the pattern on the jacket. Your bags both work really well; they match the scale of the pants and one of the colors in the jacket. I can see how nowadays it can read a bit overdressed for the office especially because if feels like a powerful outfit but it seems true to yourself. I have received such a wonderful response from you YLF friends for the previous two outfits and so much great ideas and support that I feel on top of the world. So much fun to continue. My rules are to create and to document outfits during January, which involve as many pieces from my existing wardrobe as possible and the ambition is not to repeat any items. The long term goal is to use all the clothes I have in my wardrobe regularly. I have edited my wardrobe in 2017 and want to use what is left to its full potential (still quite a sizable wardrobe). It is possible, that this challenge will lead to further editing, but it is not a primary goal. I want to push myself to accessorize better and to involve pieces I find challenging (some wardrobe orphans too). The items, which are included in the challenge are bottoms, tops, dresses, indoor toppers and scarves. Not included are outerwear, footwear, bags and jewellery. Today, I put together a challenge outfit with a short black patterned blazer as a center piece. It is an Escada jacket which I found for some time ago in a designer outlet online for extremely good price. I love the pattern and the immaculate quality of the piece. What I find challenging, however, is the length of the jacket (short) and the fact that it has 3/4 sleeves. Therefore, it gets seldom worn. I wear it to work occasionally, but the way I style it is slightly overdressed for the office environment. But that I can live with. The challenge outfit, as I wear it is no 1. I am wearing the Escada jacket, a black sheer silk blouse, a pair of very wide black trousers and high black boots. To this version of the outfit I have added a floral glass brooch, a yellow/gold silk long scarf and a vintage Mulberry brown animal patterned handbag. No 2 is a close picture of the brooch.   Then, I created some variations. No 3 with a large yellow square wool/silk-blend scarf and a large brown handbag. Less "overdressed". No 4 is an experiment. I added very large costume jewellery earrings (rhinestones and pearls), a pair of vintage long leather gloves and a beautiful shawl with a floral pattern and a sheer ruffle, designed and made by my beloved sister. No 5 shows a detail of the shawl. This outfit is for a party :-).
