I just read something about a similar petite body type having luck with jackets at Talbots.

Look up the Theory Lanai blazer. May be too streamlined for you, but super-flattering and can be found on sale.
It has no closure, which I like because if a blazer has a closure I like it to be able to be worn closed, and apple tummy doesn't always allow that.

Check out Angie's guidelines for the Adorable Apple body type. Even if you are a pear, it sounds like apple is your secondary type.

I am afraid I don't have suggestions about specific brands since I'm in Canada where petites have even fewer choices than in the US (alas).

But check out FAB forum members Transcona Shannon and Mochi. Both have some apple tendencies, both are petite, and both are absolute QUEENS of the jacket!!! They often mention the brand they are wearing in their WIW posts.

I am 5'2" size 8 curvy. I prefer cropped, shaped (non boxy) jackets, but they're hard to find. I also love my recently acquired drapey, cropped knit jackets.

I don't always understand why certain things work for me, just that they do. With jackets the two things I learned I need are a bottom line that is not straight. I look better when the hem of the jacket angles down from back to front. A straight jacket bottom makes me boxy. In that same line of thought, I'm often better off with an asymmetrical or draped front. I think all the lines going in so many angles, none of which are horizontal distract from my tum. And, with an asymmetrical cut, it doesn't pull in such a button popping way if you do it up. I can wear my asymmetrical jackets closed, but a regular blazer is almost never both closable and a good fit in the shoulders for me.

Hi, one thing that comes to mind is Grechens Closet blog. She seems to have a similar body type/proportions, maybe smaller busted. However, her style is not tailored, but maybe you might see something that inspires you to some different options?

I love to wear kinda feminine/Boden-type blazers/jackets but since my middle-aged tummy is now wide to the sides and to the front, I haven't found one that works. If they're big enough to cover all the key parts, they're too large or boxy overall.

I have a curvy/pear shape, narrow shoulders, 5'3", like to wear petites, size 10 on top/12 on bottom, 34G.

Any suggestions as to brands/stores to try? Or links to articles on this subject? I did a bit of searching on YLF and didn't see anything.

Thanks!
