They just sort of closed up the button holes and moved the buttons up to a non functional spot and stuck them on as decor. All my jackets have to be altered, or if they are the right sort of jacket, rolled up. (And for what I need this suit for, rolling up the sleeves is not an option.) This is what I get for being a short-armed 5'1" person. However, the functional buttons/buttonholes give me pause. Has anyone ever had a jacket altered from the shoulder for sleeve length, and was it successful? And, how much did it cost? </p> <p>I like the suit, I need the suit for work, but I am not in love, and if this alteration is going to be a huge pain, back the suit will go and I'll continue to shop. </p>
