I was thinking of that one Angie. I think I need to go back and see it with my skirt again. I wasn't crazy about how it looked, but now it occurs to me that I was looking at it buttoned, so maybe it would work better unbuttoned. If I could buy it with the excuse of using it for interviews, that would be pretty fab

Love the ATL jackets too. I wish the textured one came in another color.

Yes it's possible.

Maya, didn’t you recently try on a fabulous boyfriend jacket at H&M? What happened to that option?

The Nordies jacket is adorable. Nice quality too. I like these too:

Is it possible to find a fabulous jacket under $100? Possibly under $75? I have been looking forever without much success and I know the only reason I'm having such a hard time is due to my budget. I want to make an investment and I WANT to spend more, but I really just can't and it is SO hard!

Anyway, besides the budget, I'm wondering what to look for in a good jacket for my body type (like length, collar, shape). What I DON'T want is a traditional black 3 button blazer with padded shoulders. I need something with some visual interest, and since I wear a lot of black everywhere else, I'd rather keep the jacket in grey or some other color so it isn't too suity. I tried on a bunch of jackets at H&M and hated all of them due to the shoulders. I thought I would like a stronger shoulder but they just looked too corporate and severe. I am not sure where to look or what to look for anymore. I usually wear my pencil skirt to interviews so I think something architectural that would balance the slim silhouette on the bottom would be nice....but what?! Cropped and boxy? Long and fitted? I just don't know!

I really like this one but the sleeves make me hesitant. I get cold easily and being cold during an interview is no good...but it kind of gives an idea of what I'm after:

(wrong category...oops)
