Of these two, #2 for sure. The flouncy hemline of #1 doesn't jive with the way you're wanting to wear it. Plus the texture of the second looks MUCH more interesting and timeless.

My vote is for #2, If it fits in the shoulders remember you can always get it tailored to the waist.

I'm planning on wearing them with destroyed denim, boyfriend jeans, or some other edgier bottom.

i like them both, but wonder what kind of bottom you are thinking of wearing this with? IMO #2 seems like it would work best of pants--i'm having a hard time imagining it with a dress or skirt, but that could just be me.

Thanks Laura. Good point about the fit. They are actually both Pendleton!

I think it all depends on the fit on you - sometimes loose jackets look chic, sometimes they look like you're wearing your grandfather's old jacket! I'd be tempted by 1 just because I can see that it's a Pendleton which I know is good quality.

Everyone should have an obnoxiously loud plaid jacket in their closet, right? I've been on the hunt for a plaid jacket for the last two years with no luck. With plaid trending this year, I'm determined to find my jacket so that I can wear it for at least one season and look cool as opposed to when I wear it in the future and look like I've wondered out of a 70's Christmas party. I'm considering two options on Ebay. One is a more fitted jacket whereas the other is a boxier style. I'm leaning towards option 2 (looser fit, more over the top color scheme, actually vintage vs from the 90s), but I could be persuaded either way. What do you think?

ETA: Just heard back from sellers with more detailed measurements and they're not quite right. Going to practice the hardest of the Ps...patience.
