I like pretty pears in both hip bone length jackets and tunic length jackets (with heels). A good length on a jacket will also depend on HOW pear shaped you are. If you’re slightly pear shaped, you’ll get away with more varied jacket lengths. I hope that makes sense. This is to wear with straight or bootleg pants, and with knee-length skirts. (And thanks YLFers for encouraging me to take up my skirts.) Perhaps different lengths are needed for different outfits?<br /> Jackets that hit at hipbone height reveal bottom, behind; jackets to mid-thigh look a bit strange with just a few inches of skirt below, especially if I'm wearing boots, which further cut up the line.<br /> Advice please! </p>
