Thanks for the J Crew clarification Ana! It is so nice to have a resident expert. I have just checked the tag, and it does indeed say "Heather Geranium". Oh well.
I am still trying to figure out if I want to keep this color or exchange it for brown. Shiny mentioned on the other thread that this is more of a spring-y color and that thought won't leave my head

I've seen this Tartine sweater in person now, and Lauren at Sarah and my JC said she thought the catalog was mistaken as well and that color might be the rhubarb. On the tag it's labeled, "Heather Geranium," though. She said it's also possible this color cardi is an in store only item. I didn't get a chance to ask her, but it seems like JC has been doing this lately, as I saw a pretty little blouse similar to the Elizabeth halter in store, but haven't seen it online yet.

Anyway, the exact coloring is difficult to see, but having seen pictures of you and seeing the cardigan now I think it works for you. I think it will look great over a cami or a blouse, and the fit is nice. It's meant to be a little bit loose, but not boxy, and it looks like that's exactly how it fits on you.

So I am back from the mall, and I have bought it! The saleslady claims that this is the color rhubarb, and that the sweater does not come in azalea. It looks to me that it's the same color Sarah got. My camera tends to add yellow overcast, so it does not look this orange on me. I took a photo of it on it's own with flash to accurately portray the color.

http://s300.photobucket.com/al.....CN3423.jpg
http://s300.photobucket.com/al.....CN3424.jpg

So, what do you think ( you can use the CRS if you want) about the fit? And about the color, should I keep this one or exchange it for brown ? Thanks!

Thanks Sarah, I just saw it! It looks wonderful on you and I think it's my favorite color from all of them. I'll comment later in the afternoon on your purchases, since I am in a hurry now, but you did a great job and I envy you on all the cool new things!

Wow Sarah, they have it in stores in azalea? It's kind of a bluish pink, right? I think I'll go to my nearest store today to check it out! I am so excited!

I just purchased this sweater. I was going between this and the Jackie cardigan, and this one won. The ruffle adds a great feminine detail and it doesn't seem boxy at all. I will take some pictures later this afternoon so you can see it on.
My store had all of the colors except rhubarb. I purchased a pink shade that is not online. The girl at JCrew said she thinks the stores got the Azalea color and online has rhubarb. She imagined rhubarb would be slightly more pink toned than the persimmon, and maybe a smudge darker.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions! I think I'll first have to try it on to make sure it's not boxy at the waist, and then if it works I'll see if I can get away with the bright rhubarb. If not, I'll probably go for brown, navy seems more spring-y to me.

Dani, I've considered the light pewter for a moment ( I wear most greys pretty well), but I have four grey cardigans! I need to stay away from them

Sihaya, Angie has recommended Tilex in the past, and I have tried it--worked great on getting rid of perspiration stains on a white cotton jacket I had. I just sprayed the stains directly and then threw them in the wash. If the shirts are sort of ruined with red dye anyway, it might be worth a shot.

Tanya, I think our J. Crew has this cardigan, but I have not yet seen it personally. Sarah P. has, though. Hopefully she will be able to pop on here and give some guidance. I am planning on getting the maize color. Since you already have other cardis that you like in cream and black, I'd go for brown or navy if I were you. I'd at least try the rhubarb on as well, because the right red is so fantastic on you.

Tanya, my J Crew didn't have this particular cardigan in the store yet. I'm definitely going to be looking at it (as will some others) so I will let you know :)

Sorry to hear about the sweaters ruining your undershirts, Sihaya. I don't have anything to offer. Have you tried soaking them overnight in some Clorox 2?

Hi Tanya - I can imagine the brown and the rhubarb looking really pretty on you. I love the little frilly things if they're part of the cardi. I would wonder if it's too boxy on the bottom but maybe would work well with a thin belt. I'd say go for it. Personally, I'd love to get it in the maize or the red. By the way, I have now had 2 bad experiences with BR red - one jacket and one cardi - they have leaked color on to my white shirts underneath. Anyone else had that problem and know of good ways to get rid of the stain. Shout has gotten most of it out.

I really like this cardigan and I am trying to figure out if I want to put it on my "to get " list or not. My main concern is picking a color ( J Crew's mostly warm colors do not go well with me). This actually happens somewhat often to me: I really like something, but available colors are either not flattering or I already have something similar in that color. So here are my options from the colors I like:

http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Brows...../96527.jsp

black - have two black cardis ( one crew neck and one v neck)
snow- own two cream crew neck cardis
brown- own brown silk V neck cardi that I do not like that much
navy - own navy ribbed cotton double-breasted cardi

For those of you who have seen it person, is ti boxy or fitted at the waist? And what's the undertone on the rhubarb color - is it cool, warm or neutral ( I'd at least try it on if it's not warm, but that's how it looks to me online)?

So should I go with brown or navy ( maybe rhubarb) or not at all? Thanks!
