Yeah, I'm with Dani: the cardigan sizing is all over the map, depending on the style. Bearing in mind I'm 5'0," I can tell you that the XS Jackie cardigan (which I tried on last week) fit me well in the shoulders, bust, waist, but was too long, so just looked sloppy on me. I do wish they'd offer cardigans in petite sizing. :-(

But call - they will give you exact measurements.

I have quite a few J Crew cardigans and unfortunately, for me, the size varies by type of cardigan. I will tell you that I normally wear a medium in J Crew but I ended up with a large in the Jackie cardigan as it runs a little tighter. My Jackie cardigans have held up nicely so far. My other cardigans are in the first year of use so I don't have much advice as far as how they hold up, but they seem to be doing fine so far.

I wear a 6 or 8 in blouses and jackets at JCrew, and always get the sweaters in small, with the exception of the latest Maya cardigan, which I needed to go up a size on.
Hope that helps!

I don't have any experience with J. Crew Medusa, but I like all the cardis you've linked too (can't view the third one), and Ana and Sarah e.g. always look fab sporting them.

Agreed! I'd definitely call customer service. Keep us posted?

Malcontent, thanks for the comments.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Their size charts still aren't working for me - maybe I should take advantage of the great service Shiny mentioned in the other thread and call them.

I have a few J. Crew cardigans and plan to buy more. I find the fit really flattering. Even the ones with tiny front pockets look good on me, though I usually try to avoid bulky details in my clothes. The only negative is that the sweaters seem to pill easily, but I can fix that with a sweater stone.

I'd say they fit true to size, but I'd size down if choosing between two sizes.

Is anyone familiar with J Crew cardigans? I'm interested in your opinion of the quality, and also how you found the sizing.

I'm looking at a couple sweaters in their final sale, so I couldn't return them. Oddly, the size charts on their web site aren't working for me right now. Here are some links to sweaters I'm interested in:
