Rute and KellyGirl -- so flattered you thought I was tall.
Angie -- I appreciate your opinion!
MNSara -- I will experiment with the sweater & take some photos.

So I packed up the J Brand trousers (creeping back seam being the main reason) so they are going back. And the sweater is staying, at least for a while.

Wow, 5' 4"--you're in my territory : ) I thought you were much taller. You and Aida both had me fooled--it must be a combination of posture and poise!

It sounds like the trousers will bug you (that would bug me!) and should be returned for a pair that you LOVE and even more flattering (although you look pretty cool on these).

Definitely try the voluminous sweater with skinny bottoms/heels and take some pics. It would be an eclectic look, but that's where your style can shine

I like the fit of the trousers, but if you don't FEEL fab in it...
The jacket I like too, it's long but you seem tall, so I like the way it looks!

Thanks for the puppy love She is a sweet girl but rather large now. I would return the jeans due to the creeping seam. Who wants to worry about whether your butt is going slanty?
I must confess though I am a little sour on J Brand because I have some velour jeans from them where the seaming tends to come undone. I had one spot repaired a couple of years ago and now I see another one starting to go. And they were not discounted! Otherwise they look like new though, so the fabric is good quality. They don't bag at all either. Most people like J Brands, so I suspect I just got unlucky with some bad seams or thread quality. Still I am not enthused about a repeat purchase from them.

These are such helpful comments!
- MNsara, I haven't tried belting it, I will!
- Kellygirl: I am wearing 4" clogs with these pants, that is NOT my usual height. I am 5'4" and my legs are average. But if 4" heels are what it takes to occasionally create the illusion, I'll suffer!
- Rae: they are J Brand blue label which is what they produce for discounters like Loehmans. They cost $100 but I paid less. Still, I am not in love with them. Like you I like the big sweater, it reminds me of the 80s when I always wore voluminous clothing which made me feel so cool. Yes I would be willing to wear the sweater with skinny jeans and heels.
- Scarlet: there is a flaw to these trousers! When I wear them, the seam going down the rear creeps over to one side, for a slanted butt effect. I have inspected them and they are pretty well made (even placement of pockets for example) but what's up with that creeping seam? OT: I am in love w. your border puppie!

The trouser jeans are returnable but the sweater is not. I would give it away or sell it to someone if you think it doesn't work, however.

To be very honest, the way the jeans look to me is that you have a wonderful figure that make the trousers look better than they are. That says to me that you would be totally rocking a better cut pair of trousers. For the sweater, I like the idea of it, but the volume in the body and the overall length do seem a bit overwhelming. I am curious what others will say.

Hm, J Brand is expensive. If you don't love them, I'd say pass. I'm on the fence myself... I can't decide if the back pockets create the illusion of a wider bum than you have.

I actually like the sweater more. Would you ever wear with skinnies and high heels?

The trousers are beautiful on you from the front and back! I'd definitely keep. Your legs look a mile long! The sweater looks cozy. You have the height to pull it off but it hides your slim figure. I'd keep it for lounging. It looks like it might be even too voluminous to belt.

I really like those trousers! I can see them with a nicely fitted silky bow blouse tucked in. . . (But in that I am a 70s phobe, you better wait for the experts!).

I do think that sweater is too big for you, but it looks so comfy I can see why you'd take to it You may want to save it for cozy-at-home wear, or may be able to use it for a light, funky, outerwear layer. What happens when you belt it?

Thank you YLF community for helping me with the Levi's question! This time I have two more items. Should I keep them or not? One is a pair of J-Brand Jeans:

Front:
http://i1103.photobucket.com/a.....CN0306.jpg

Back:
http://i1103.photobucket.com/a.....CN0303.jpg

They are comfortable and the fabric is soft. I will have to have them hemmed. I have them pinned up a few inches in these snapshots. I like but am not in love.

Here is the Mac & Jac Sweater -- is it too big? Should I keep it? I like this sweater a lot. I got it on MyShape for a song. It is nice quality for the price. But it is a size L, and I normally wear an S or M. What do you think.

Front:
http://i1103.photobucket.com/a.....CN0289.jpg

Side:
http://i1103.photobucket.com/a.....CN0290.jpg

In a few days I will be vetted as a regular member and can post pictures! Yay! So sorry for the tedious links.
