Hmm, maybe I'll pass on them then. It's very misleading that they categorize them as straight legs though. I wish the cigarettes came in a true high rise. Oh well.

Maya, I saw these at a store today. They weren't the right size so I did not try them on, but they definitely looked like slim bootcuts to me. I have J Brands cigarette (14" opening) and those look like true straight legs.

That's what I thought Patience. 16" is a bit weird. But I just figured after I hem them, they'll straighten out. I like the cigarette fit a lot but none of them come in a high rise.

Do you find them true to size?

Rute, I loved the Bardots too when I was looking for skinnies. I ended up with Rich and Skinny instead, with a similar rise. Also a great brand.

I am a big J Brand fan. But I find their 16" leg openings to be an awkward opening size. 16" is a slim boot cut on me and must be hemmed as such and they they usually puddle on the top of my foot. I much prefer the 14" cigarette for a straight leg on me or 18" for a bootcut.

They are gorgeous! So slimming and divine with heels!
I really believe that a fabulous pair of jeans totally worth the investment because you'll wear it many times!
I liked also the 212 bardot skinnies (it's difficult to find skinnies with a higher rise) .. I'll keep an eye on these for sure!

The rise seems nice and high on this one Maya. I have no experience with premium denim so I don't have much to contribute on that front. Hope they work out for you!

OK, since I think I have decided to wait on getting jeans until I have a bigger budget and a better feel for what works for me, I'm going to try and stick to premium. I think this is justified since I wear jeans nearly every day, and I only ever get premium denim on sale anyway.

Anyway, I came upon these J Brands and am sort of scratching my head. It says they are straight legs but they have a 16" leg opening and they appear to flare slightly. If I hem them they will straighten out anyway so I'm not too worried, just thought it was odd. But I was just wondering if anyone has tried them or can tell me how J Brand generally runs, and if it would be a good brand for me. If so I'll stick them on my wish list and keep an eye out for sales.
