I thought it wouldn't be flattering because they hit RIGHT on my hips, but something about them being SO ruffly and over the top actually make them work in reverse. I think they key is how body-con the dress is. If it were in charcoal gray, or had fewer ruffles, or not so many ruffles at the skirt part...But...if you love it and want to give it a go, then just do it!
