Hong Kong is a city where you can spend a fortune or not and still come away with some special things. </p> <p>1. I discovered that eye glasses are cheap there. $160 bought 4 pairs of glasses complete. The "expensive" ones were the blingy Dior frames, then i selected a pair of black/white, turquoise/gold and a pair of brown/ ivory. </p> <p>2. A new line of bags that I was unfamiliar with is called Charming Pop. They are leather bags made in Italy. Their logo is a champagne glass with bubbles coming out. One is a neutral leather with snake skin effect tote, and the other a fun bright green double handled number that is long enough to sling over your shoulder. This shop was full of lust worthy bags in all sizes, shapes and colors. </p> <p>3. Jade Market Pearls. The 2 larger diameter are shell pearls and the smaller strand is a pretty cultured pearl strand that are slightly oval so the price was much lower than if they were perfectly round. </p> <p>The shopping is fun but absolutely overwhelming. I knew from reading Angie's post on The Jade Market that I wanted some big pearls. The purses I found accidentally and I had heard about buying glasses from a flight attendant. I did have a custom dress made while I was there but have yet to receive it. My husband is returning in November for business and I'm thinking it might be a great opportunity to Christmas shop. Hmmmmmm </p>
