Who knew that you'd be shampooing much less frequently so as not to dry out the hair, and using a specific upside-down scrunching protocol to apply conditioner, and only need a haircut every 3 months? (Because our curly hair doesn't just grow vertically--it grows horizontally, diagonally, and only eventually downward, heh). I am inspired now to actually--drumroll--take hair vitamins and eat healthy! But the curls are much more pronounced. The stylist wanted to take off a lot more to even out the length, because the top is markedly shorter (splits and breakage issues), but I resisted so he went less drastic. Now I have swingin' curls, a book and how-to- DVD and a boatload of product, LOL. I even got a cupcake out of it--it was the stylist/salon owner's birthday! I am a happy woman. </p>
