These were a very soft suede. They ran narrow and the SA felt that I needed a wide though I take a medium width in other brands. They also had no support or padding. I found them to be quite wearable and comfortable for heels. The leather is stiff, not buttery, and I know that puts some people off. I bought some super shiny silverfish loafers two years ago when we were into the shiny shoe stage. They were comfortable but the shiny leather started cracking and flaking off.
