My favorite jeans are by Mother. I find the high-waisted Looker cut super comfy and flattering. To me, a pair of jeans that makes me feel fabulous, plus some cool shoes go such a long way to feeling chic yet comfortable on days off. Wearing your nice knit jackets and cardis is a smart way to go. It's the casual wear that is a hang-up.</p> <p>One thing I have done is taken to wearing the top halves of my suits--lots of St. John knits and other fitted cardigans--everyday. They look rather cool over a T-shirt. (Again, see...they are KNITS. I love knits. I like to be able to move.) I just have no pants or shoes that allow similar movement that also look chic and pulled-together. And of course the red lipstick. To go with the wine and cheese.</p> <p>It's just that in my heart and soul I dress like Dita von Teese (her street style, obviously!) I have never met a sheath dress I didn't love. My workwear and formal wear wardrobes are spot on. Fitted suits in bright colors.</p> <p>My problem is my day to day casual wardrobe. And the fact that I just love the comfort of sneakers. My feet hate most heels. Although my winter daily boots have a wedge heel that the website claims is 2.5 or 3 inches but these happen to be the most comfortable shoes I own. &nbsp;(They are by Aquatalia.)</p> <p>Also, I prefer pants to skirts for casual wear. I had the most perfect pair of pants...100% wool that could was washed in the machine. They were high-waisted, pleated, and had deep cuffs. I got it at JJill but of course they don't carry them anymore. What happened to the pants, you ask?
