When I'm trying on clothes in a store, I check garment labels to make sure I'm happy with the fabric and its care requirements. I wish it was as easy to know who made my clothes and under what conditions. And which stores pay their retail employees a living wage.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'll be in the minority, since I'm in Australia, but here the stores seem to be full of muted tones and relaxed shapes. The retailers are carrying mostly pale neutrals, blush and black in footwear and accessories. I went to a large shoe store the other day and couldn't find a single pair of cognac shoes.
