Colette:  yes, it's funny that's it's shorter on me than on the model even though I'm much shorter than the model.  I prefer this length, too! I had bought a few Barbour jackets and the quality was really nice. I ended up returning them because I didn't like the waxed type jacket. Full range of motion and everything. I couldn't wear a chunky sweater underneath it, but I don't wear those until true winter anyway--at which point I would not be wearing this coat anyway. Suz:  I probably will wear it with skinny jeans and riding boots I think this length of coat works better with pants, actually.  It was far too hot to style it, so I went with what I was wearing for the day. Based on online reviews, I was a bit nervous that the 4 would be too small (though I usually wear a 2 or sometimes even zero in coats), but it fits perfectly, and I love it! Adding to Angie's review, I don't find it too masculine--the color and the quilting and fit make it feminine feeling for me. I do agree that it's roomier in the upper torso--that's my only quibble with the fit, but it's a coat so it doesn't matter that much. Going to the Nordstrom store this weekend was worth it! This will definitely fill a hole for me, as I've been wearing longer trench or long wool coats in fall weather, which sometimes feels inappropriate for outdoor activities.
