:) Haha, I agree with Angie. To me that weather is ideal. Gets much, much warmer where I am. Already had days with temps in the 90s and humidity that gave a feels like temp in the mid 90s or 35.5 c.
I generally wear loose things when it's super hot. I echo Angie again, with dresses/skirts.

I love the Scottish climate, love the rain, wind and weather and the sun. We go on holiday to Scotland and I've worn black opaque tights in August when it was raining! In hot weather, light shirts that have full length sleeves, with white jeans or a dress.

In my part of the world, 25C is a coolish temperature. I'm used to tropical weather, though I do work in a rather cold office. A heat wave would be over 90F.

25°C is considered hot in my neck of the woods, too, so you have my sympathy.

On hot days in the office, I will wear non-clingy skirts, tops and dresses, all in light, comfortable fabrics. I will either avoid spaghetti straps (choose broader ones instead) or wear a blouse (in a very light and breathable fabric) as a topper, worn open. And comfortable, but chic sandals.

When you click on your own icon picture (in your case, the orange flower next to your display name, Laura1975), you will get possibilities to provide some information about yourself. And if you click on others' icon pictures, you may be able to read some information about them. This can be useful, interesting and fun, as you will see from this thread:

Well, we just had a mini heat wave. It got up to 92F/33C. It was way above normal for this time of year, and our first 90+ temp this year. Your "heat wave" is what I call perfect weather! I don't work now, but I worked here for years and in the summer we get over 100F regularly. I agree with Cindy: natural fibers are your friend.

BTW: for our very warm day I wore cotton crops, sleeveless cotton top and sandals. It still felt like too much because I'm not used to it.

I think of 25 degrees as wonderfully mild!

Lightweight skirts and dresses are best in the heat in my book.

I wear as little as possible when it heats up, but I don't work in an office environment. I work at a produce stand that is basically an outdoor environment; and my boss doesn't care what I wear as long as it isn't vulgar or offensive (no excessive cleavage, shorts should cover my butt, no graphic tees with profanity, etcetera).

EDITED TO ADD: I live and work in Texas, so we get some serious heat with brutal humidity. I have gotten good at dressing for heat.

For an office environment, look for garments in natural fibers. Cotton, linen, lightweight silk... Even some fibers that I call "pseudo-synthetics", like viscose, rayon, and modal can work in the heat, as they are of natural origin and will allow air flow if they aren't too heavily treated or overly thick fabrics. Some people swear by technical fabrics (the kind of material used in running tights, sports bras, and other workout gear) because it is "moisture wicking"; however, I find that petrochemical based fibers like polyester and acrylic make me feel like I'm being suffocated because they just don't let air flow through and they feel really slimy to me when they're wet with sweat (and they can smell funny even after laundering).

Since I don't know what type of dress code your work environment requires, I can give specific suggestions. Whatever fits your dress code, in a natural fiber, should help you withstand the heat rather well.

At work today! Casual office clothes, basically you can wear anything but I wouldn't want to turn up in shorts.

I didn't know I had a visible profile, will need to investigate that one!

Well, it depends of the setting.

Are you at work? What kind of work? (Sadly, there is no info in your profile ....) Or are you at home? Or on holiday? If we get some more info, we may be able to give you more precise tips, :-)

Generally speaking, when it's hot, I will wear sandals and breezy summer clothes, preferably in light, cool "summer" colours.

Well a Scottish style one...we're expected to reach the dizzy heights of 25 degrees here today!

Unfortunately it really does hammer home how woefully unprepared I am clothes wise for summer weather this year after putting a lot of effort into winter and early spring clothes. I'm currently sweating in a vest, chiffon blouse and jersey tube skirt. What do you all wear when it heats up?
