Purge!
I appreciate this example because I've been tempted to buy some things like this even now in order to meet comfort goals and be able to wear certain colors, etc. I really have to say PPP over & over.

I think's it's okay to keep an item or 2 that are fall-backs for certain activities or maybe a pair of pants or skirt for which you don't have any better option. The thing I try to remember is to not build much new around that but to add a new goal item to the wish list.

I think footwear is especially in this category, for walking-holidays or beach or something that isn't every day and that requires extreme comfort. I find that my feet are just very picky for "all day" walking and almost not happy for that except in a trainer or walking-comfort oxford or some kinds of sport sandals.

Sara, good question. I'm off work for now and not sure what the next job might be here in FL. I'm thinking of a break from bartending if I do work here. I guess if the need re-arises I will purchase a new, and more 'me', version

Do you see yourself ever wearing them? Are you going to have occasions where you'll need to be on your feet all day, like for work or such, where the edginess (or lack thereof) won't matter as much?

I second that the red pair is the best if you want to keep any!

Okay, they are in the bag for the consignment store. Nicole, yes the cream ones only. I find the red peep toe ones just edgy enough with their silver heels, and the black zipper ones aren't going anywhere, hee hee.

I would pass too. I like the red ones, though. I assume we are talking about the beige ones with the buckle?

I'm running into this as I get my summer gear back out. I find some items that are quite pedestrian (ha! in both senses in this case lol) like my Dr. Scholl's flats. They don't have any kind of edge like most of my footwear. But they are quite comfortable for walking, which I'll be doing a LOT of here. The question is whether I should take extra effort to style around them in order to 'edge them up' or just pass them on as my starter ballet flats.
I remember buying them on super sale with a pitter patter in my heart he he. $13 instead of $80 or something like that. They are perfectly neutral, but now I also have my blush metal plate sandals and my python gladiators, both of which feel much more like me. Last time I wore them was in Tahoe spring with snow still on the ground, but warming temps (pic4). Oh, and to work a wedding when I wore a skirt for my black and whites in the heat (pic5).

yay - keep. good walking shoes are great to have
nay - purge. They are so not you

Thanks!
