The furminator is great for removing loose fur. You will think your cat will be bald as you use it—it removes that much loose hair. She's a real cutie. I just bought a wet-dry vac, both to clean up water when necessary (we had water all over our kitchen and down in the basement last week; water all over the bathroom floor the week before that) and to vacuum up fur balls. We have short-haired cats, but I still find fur all over the place. I will say this, though. A high-quality cat food will reduce the shedding. Our vet told us that, and it turned out to be true.
