You could test it for yourself. The difference visually would be this: Stand in front of a mirror, with your legs not crossed and your arms down at your sides. Are your shoulders WIDER than your hips? That's the mark of an IT. Are they roughly the same width, with a definite curve to the waist? That's an hourglass. Are they roughly the same, with no curve to the waist?
