Love 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The dress is a great fit on you and adding the interesting jackets and boots makes it 'extra' stylish. (you must be exhausted with all of the trying on - take the rest of the night off, OK : - )

Suz, this is an interesting dress and I do think it looks good on you. I am more partial to the combinations that add a little color. Just my opinion but I think this dress could border between looking edgy, modern & funky to looking a bit too conserative. For example the jackets in 4/5/6 look great, but I do think they take the dress into very conserative and safe territory - but that may might actually be just what you need for certain occasions.

The red looks great with it and it also looks fab wit the belt. I love the kimono with it but I think a more edgy pair of shoes would be better, maybe booties.

Super super dress! It lends itself so well to all of your pieces. I like the way this dress looks in all of these pictures, except maybe #6 with the conflicting neckline. (Color works great though, maybe you could add a scarf to fill in the neckline?)

The dress is really pretty on you! I think a cream blazer and the lighter color footwear would make it acceptably Springy. I wasn't as fond of 5-6 but really liked the other combos which each had a different kind of feel. The black blazer and black kimono toppers worked great and I'm crazy about the blue denim jacket with it also!

These are all great suggestions. Thank you! I do have nude sandals, too, but probably wouldn't wear sandals on a day I'd wear the dress...although it's not a hot fabric, the neckline and sleeves really do make it feel more like a coolish day dress vs. a day-warm-enough-for-sandals dress. I like the idea of trying with some brighter beads or something like that - now I"ll have to go hunt for some!

Thanks again, everyone. I was also glad to hear which looks you liked and didn't like as much. Very helpful!!

I *love* the kimono jacket! Also like the denim. And the belt is especially flattering for you. This dress looks great with the tall boots, but that's more of a winter look. To springify, I would find a cream jacket and cream flats (those are staples in my closet!).

Suz, this is a great transitional dress, and I would wear it now too (perhaps when you go shopping for that bright or white blazer?).Even though it doesn't scream spring, it's a very nice neutral dress and so chic. I love it with both denim jackets but all of these looks are very good!

Suz, I like it with booties best of all. I think that tall black boots are a bit heavy but if you have tall boots in lighter color they may work.
I also like it the best with denim jackets (special mention to the red one) and with the black kimono.

This dress is so gorgeous on you Suz! I love options 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10. It has a spring vibe with 7, 8 and 9. 10 is definitely more fall like due to the jacket - but an absolutely gorgeous pairing.

I think for spring either your nude Report booties or bright footwear (like the red flats) are the way to go. I'm not sure a white jacket would work with the dress, but I think cream would. I really like the raspberry jacket with it. Do you have any nude coloured sandals? I can see the dress with nude coloured sandals, scrunched sleeves and some coral chunky bangles.

Bright accessories or a bright handbag will also help to "spring-ify" the dress.

i see spring in #7, #8 and #9 as well. The dress seems really versatile. I agree with Janet about the neck saying more fall than spring, but if you'd like it to be a "seasonless" dress, wear it now! Better to try out spring now, than wait until fall ;-)

Taupe is neutral, right? Do you have coral or bright blue necklace? That may add some spring feel too

First of all, I love this dress for you, Suz. The fit is perfect and it has just enough interest to be...well...interesting!

I like all these combinations. My absolute favorites are #8,9, and 10. Love the kimono jacket (wish I had one!) and the red and denim jackets really add a fun element to the look. The only looks I'm not quite as crazy about are #5 and 6 since they don't provide as much contrast. They're fine, but not quite as eye-catching as the others.

Maybe an ivory/cream blazer would give it a little "spring" lift?

Yeah, Janet, you may be right. It really IS a fall dress, after all. But the fabric is so light weight and the neck so soft that it definitely works on a cool spring day (like I'm having here, today....grrrrr).

IRL the colour is sort of...well...it's taupe, but a definite ROSY taupe. Which seems to have spring possibilities, to me. But maybe I should just keep this in the closet until fall and bring it out with great excitement in mid-September. It will make a great transitional dress then.

Ok, call me crazy, but I love it with the denim options and with the kimono jacket! I'm not sure it will read as terribly springy no matter what -- the neck and long sleeves seem to make it a bit more cool-weather feeling to me, but keep in mind I live in a climate where spring more often feels like summer!

Okay. I know I have left you all hanging waiting on those fuchsia suit pics. My dear photographer is still asleep. In the meantime, I need some help with something else.

This is my new "Bailey-esque" striped dress, bought on super-surprising sale. It is a great light stretchy fabric that I figured I could wear fall, winter, and spring...with the right layering and footwear.

Problem? I'm not sure I have the right stuff. Certainly not so much for spring. And I would love a suggestion to "springily" this. If I had a white or cream jacket, do you think that might do the trick, along with some light footwear?

1 - the dress styled ladylike

2/3 - some footwear options for fall/winter

4 - with black crepe jacket - this works well, I think. But is a bit dressier than I usually need.

5 - attempt to pair with glen plaid jacket - fail because the colours are off; although they are both taupes, they are not the same.

6 - attempt to pair with soft lilac toned jacket. A bit weird I think.

7 - with denim and Reports - works okay but not fab in my view.

8 - crazy attempt to pair with raspberry cord jacket and flats.

9 - with denim, a belt, and Doc Marcies. Better for fall than spring, though.

10 - attempt to pair with my vintage kimono jacket. Hmmm.

I must apologize for the awful light here; it was a dark rainy day when we took these and the colours are not great as a result, and I was not looking my best.

Would appreciate knowing which looks you like and what I might do to "springily" the dress a little bit to get a few wears out of it this season if possible.
