I think you should wear the footwear that will best support your feet and allow healing to happen. Don’t worry about the others on your team. If they are concerned about your feet they are not focusing on the job.

Oh no! I think you should look for shoes with laces... for stability...

I think that's what I was looking for! If I was teaching on my own I'd probably just wear the stupid running shoes with a dress and leggings but I'm working with a team of people I don't feel comfortable with... there's a fine line between "own person" and "crazy lady."

I've lost the link I used to have to a website that gave advice about shoes for difficult feet and I need it! I slipped in the grocery store the first week in December (squashed grapes on the floor), fell hard on my knee, and have been limping a bit ever since, which has given me some Achilles problems (long story short, I guess). After two days of shopping I finally found a pair of running shoes I can stand to wear (Ryka) but I can't wear those to work and my Vionic loafers, the most comfortable shoes I have besides running shoes, were excruciating yesterday. Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!
