No migraine from these candles.</p> <p>Nordic Angan’s Arctic Thyme is my favorite. The small Icelandic company is run by two women who use local herbs to create their products. They do have a presence on the web, but I’m not sure they sell online. I plan to hunt them down when we are in Iceland next month.</p> <p>Geysir, local store (beautiful clothing and recently a separate home store) offers four several scented candles, but the one that drew me smells like old books and leather, with another note I can’t identify. I’ll look up the name when I get back home, and post it. They are old. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/iso-scented-candle-recos#post-2079706 Mon, 25 Nov 2019 00:45:30 +0000 Anonymous 2079706@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I sell several candle lines through the agency I work for, and the number one holiday candle, bar none , is Thymes' Frasier Fir. &nbsp;It's an absolute classic and the best selling line in the US home decor market . &nbsp;Candle quality depends on a few things (including but not limited to) : &nbsp;type of wax, how the scent is distributed (or not) throughout the entire candle, and where the candle is made. &nbsp;3 wick candles are just a novelty , and 3 wicks don't signify anything &nbsp;or indicate quality in any way. &nbsp;They also don't guarantee a cleaner, more consistent and wide burn because it's often tough to keep all 3 burning if you aren't paying attention . &nbsp;Because you have to let the candle burn right out to the edge the first time you light it, a huge candle isn't always as practical. &nbsp;</p> <p>Another brand I sell and really like (and I am VERY particular about candles is Capri Blue. They are *famous* for being the signature scent in Anthropology stores, and have a gorgeous holiday fir/clove fragrance &nbsp;in a pretty tin. &nbsp;</p> <p>Illume makes a holiday scent - also a Fir - that is nice and of good quality, but I get major headaches from that brand . &nbsp; &nbsp;Diptyique is great, as Rachy recommends, but is very pricey (at &nbsp;least in Can $). &nbsp;</p> <p>It's a lot of trial and error with candles, but my best tip is that you usually get what you pay for.
