<p>karen13, that's all great info as I'm still making my mind up--reason being that the return policies are not clear. I found it, in all places, at Walmart.com (!?!?), but it's sold by a third party and they are fuzzy on the fees they deduct... Your description makes me think the pants are likely to work for me! I'm also 5'2"!

<p>I hope they work! I bet the length will be good. I’m 5’2” but find most petites a bit short and regular long too. I can wear mine in a petite with a wedge sandal. The 0p may be on the lose side, but that is a good look for linen. Just be sure to wear them a while before you take the tags off - they do stretch a bit.</p>
<p>I just pulled them out and wore them yesterday!

<p>Thanks, <b>karen13</b>! Thanks to your suggestion I found a beautiful version of these in blue and white stripes. I also like that the fly and belt hoops make it dressier. The only size I found is 0P. I'm usually a 0 regular in most brands but have to hem (but if I buy Petite, the length is too short). I might give it a try... </p>

<p>I bought the NYDJ Claire linen pants last summer in navy and sand. I think they may have a different style name now, Wylie maybe? I like that they are not a draw string waist. Size down. They also stretch a bit with wear. I wear the navy more than linen because I am not as “at peace with the crease” of linen as I thought I was, and the darker color hides more.

<p><div><b>3style</b>, yes, as with most Old Navy things, sometimes I luck out with fit and quality, but consistency is not guaranteed... their price point definitely spoiled me. Given how frustrated I am right now (and how much I love living in linen pants all summer) I'm considering investing in a pricier pair. The alternative will be to take my current oversized Old Navy ones to my trusty talented seamstress, and I'll likely pay her as much as I would for a new, better pair...</div><div><br /></div><div><b>kkards</b>, I was looking at those, and was a bit on the fence because of the reviews and the pockets. But I'm tempted because I do love Athleta pants in general. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Just saw a gorgeous and pricey pair from <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.sundancecatalog.com/product/71216.do">Sundance (below)</a>... but I hesitate because they don't seem to have free shipping for returns/exchanges. I once had to pay so much when something from Garnet Hill didn't work for me... I am OK with covering shipping costs (nothing is free, and I don't mind compensating people's labor), but the return/restocking fees often go way beyond just the to-and-fro postage. I never had anything from Sundance so I'm not sure how their stuff fits. <br /></div>

<p>Hate to say it, but I think your Old Navy pants were outliers for the price point. The only linen pants as good as all that which I’ve ever worn are from Vince. I got a few pairs as hand-me-downs. Nordstrom currently has a large selection. They are pricey. However, I had white ones for years, and all stains came out with a spot bleach treatment, so I ended up feeling like I would buy some replacements if I needed linen pants that fancy. </p>
<p>For everyday, I have an indestructible pair of linen blend pants from F21. They are several years old. They have all of the negatives that you mentioned, but they’re good enough for home or Home Depot or that sort of thing.

<p><div>HEWI alert: looking for the perfect linen pants. The ideal candidate will:<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>1. Be cut with a wide-leg or flared silhouette</div><div>2. Be made of very soft, lightweight, preferably stretch-blend linen</div><div>3. Have a delicate waist (hard to find because most have big thick drawstrings, bulky tie belts, or too-wide smocked elastic bands) <br /></div><div>4. Preferably have no pockets (often add volume to the hips), but if there are pockets, the seams won't show on the outside<br /></div><div>5. Be versatile, going easily from casual to somewhat dressy</div><div><br /></div><div>Have<br />
been looking at the usual places without much luck... Old Navy used to<br />
have good ones, but this year they are cut huge around the waist and<br />
short on the legs, so I can't size down. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Spotted these Caslons online but reviews are mixed. <br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Help for this linen-pant lover! Thanks! <br /></div>
